I've audited policies at maybe 150 companies over 30 years. The clause is quite common, and aimed at keeping sex out of the workplace, just as portrayed in this and other stories. I uncovered some 'hanky panky' 3 or 4 times at the executive level, and much to everyone's distress, had to write it up in my report. Not fun, but that's the job.....

People are starting to talk. And Karma is a bitch.' And a note on Keith's desk saying 'You really should stop screwing married co-workers even if they do look like a Playboy Playmate. People are stating to talk. And Karma is a bitch.' Just make sure that the origin of the note could not be determined. Perhaps put them in lightly scented envelopes with their names written in script? That would have kept the admins from taking the note and reading it...
