Sorry if the intro wasn't fully clear; the idea was to put the gold into an immortal lobby to see if he (the gold) can figure it out. I was just testing him, not making an imposter-style video! Would he panic under pressure or prevail in the end? Some people are mentioning he peaked diamond in previous acts. The ranked reset has made things a little trickier; as I usually invite, hover their rank and get it going. Either way its hard to really determine if I should be using entire Valorant career peak or current ranks only, its a little bit of a grey area. Thanks for the feedback! I'll make sure to improve

He either deserves plat-dia or had a really good game there. He was super calm during every gun fight and made really nice comms every now and then. His aim was a bit shakey but hit his shots frequently. Definately has a lot of potential.

i think if the game had been played on a different map there would have been different results. it's early in Lotus's release and in solo queue / with random teammates it's hard to make a good strategy on both attack and defense whilst the players aren't yet used to the map.

@@asnd..8349 It's all about consistency. He might be able to aim and do well one game and do bad the other. I'm at Asc 3 right now which is the highest I've ever been, I hit Dia 3 the day before the new episode and I'll have a game where I drop 29 and the next I go 10 - 17.

You know everyone can perform well in higher lobbies. For eg. (in custom)i once played in ascendent/imm (I was plat)lobby once and i noticed their gameplay is mostly same only their aim and game sense is better. So if u have better game sense then u can also perform well

i think dedication and also having one or more people to queue with helps a lot. solo queue is extremely difficult. ive seen so many low-mid elo players who play really well but dont necessarily top frag and are stuck because no one plays off each other and comms are rare, especially in eu and asia servers.

one of the more common reasons why a gold player is stuck in that rank is they have to deal with smurfs, that being said, golds are often used to play with higher ranks in disguise. naturally some of these lower elo can put up against higher ranks, especially when they get comms from teammates

crosshair placement is also a big factor, see in the video how he is always aiming to the body or below. just that tip helped me get from gold to dia in 2 acts

Aka, good habits. So u could know the right decision in any situation, but whether u do that... Or panic/ego... is wt diffrentiates ur rank.

Omen has terrible movement and utility usage, he won’t do well on maps like haven, ascent etc. he’s good with his aim I’d give him plat based off just watching him but he would hit a cap if you gave him a diamond + account. He’d start losing games quickly and not realize why and have great games on maps probably like icebox and lotus
