Thank you for another good reaction to Angelina. It was a nice touch converting to Black and White. She was just turned 9 years of age in this performance. The black and white format was chosen to represent the 1950s, which was when this song was written. The singer/songwriter was American Screamin' Jay Hawkin. He wrote "I put a spell on you" in 1956 and sung it the same year by being carried on to the stage in a coffin. He rose from the coffin as the music started and began to sing. Angelina need no such gimmicks in her tribute to him. She just rearranged the melody and lyrics until she was satisfied that her performance would truly reflect what she saw as the true emotions of the song. You may have noticed that at the start of the video Angelina is writing some notes and when she finishes she hands them to the pianist, who smiles. These are her "wishes" (instructions) to the band how she wants them to play the music. You will then catch a glimpse of her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani, who is a well known and respected Iranian artist and painter and the person who first got Angelina interested in music, particularly Jazz. And, lastly, Angelina is seen holding a candle upon which is a picture of Hawkins. I just now hit the subscribe button! Wanna know why? Because you said that you want to listen to more of "ANGEL" ANGELINA JORDAN! :) She had just turned 9 years old shortly before this was produced. She is now 14 (as of January 10, 2020). She was born in Oslo, Norway, Jan.10, 2006. Entered "Norway's Got Talent" at age 7 with audition of Billie Holiday's "Gloomy Sunday," and won the competition shortly after turning 8! Other songs she sang in that competition were Nancy Sinatra's "Bang, Bang" and Cole Porter's "Summertime" (phenomenal!). Please react to these if you can. You may be seeing a comment soon from Rusty Shackleford, whom we Angelina fans have come to regard as the "go to" person for almost-all-things-Angelina info. Don’t make the same mistake most ppl do when they first hear this little genius/ prodigy sing.. Ppl put her in just a Jazz Box.. this girls has much more Musicality then Just Jazz, she is already at a different level.. She has covered so many Timeless classic songs past and present, deferent genres from deferent times at the same time keeping it authentic wile making them all her own.. and she did all of this pre teenage.. This makes this young lady Timeless.. Jazz is only her Roots/ the starting point but she’s doing things to Music in general that no one is doing in the past or modern era. There is a big deference between some one who has a old soul to someone who has a Timeless old Soul, someone who has a talent and someone who has a gift.. She was barely 9 years old in this video and she has an amazing voice and she can adapt her voice to any kind of music genres but she started singing jazz when she was 1 1/2 years old. She is gonna be a legend in the future and at 14 years she has sign with republic records so it exiting to see What her album will sound like and she has gold her fans that she working on original songs. But she allready have 5 original songs where she has wrote three of the original songs and the tiltes are «What is life» , « Oslo» and «shield» are the songs she wrote herself. The last two is called «Song by A» by nico cartosio and the last one is called «Above the water» by trxd they are a duo from Norway. That she just featuring on with her vocals.

Angelina started singing at the age of 18 months there is a video of her and at 6 yrs was her 1st performance in the Studio singing " I Who Have Nothing" She was Created with so many Musicians of years past and today then Our Creator Sprinkled some of His Heavenly Choir and sent her On Earth. You could check that out to see how she can identify and include the significant elements while presenting it as she thinks is best (at 9).
