In one of the longer clips from Angelina Jordan's golden buzzer moment, Simon said, "You don't know how good you are." I can't imagine a more insulting thing for him to have said. She most definitely knows how good shes is; she simply has the good grace to be humble about it. I was trying to think of how to describe her voice the other day and decided that the best comparison is to a Stradivarius violin. The notes she sings produce a sound with the magical complexity that a master violinist extracts with bow on string.

I don't find Simon's comment insulting at all. On the contrary, it was meant at a big compliment to Angelina. You have to listen to HOW he said it. The American AGTtC audience saw a humble girl with a great voice. Simon saw a future legendary singer. Simon has most likely done his homework before Angelina was accepted to AGTtTC and watched quite a few of her performances. So he knew what to expect of her. So when he said "you don't know how good you are" he meant you're even better than what most people have told you in KZbin comments etc. Simon is a professional so he knows how far she will go.

This venue gave her the opportunity to realize that desire for herself and for list of her life's private accomplishments. She achieved that in this structure. This was published about a month after Angelina turned 13. It is possible that she was still 12 when it was recorded. To even attempt a song like this shows what a courageous artist she is. Every time I listen to her, I'm floored by the detail she puts into her vocals. The slight emphasis, the drops, the decorations. It would take me a year to memorize all the little creative touches (ok, next phrase starts loud then descends to a soft tone, ending vibrato, etc etc.) I sometimes wonder, when I see her with just the guitarist backing, reading the sheet music as she sings, whether she even rehearses these solo performances at all, or just creates the arrangement from herself each time she sings? Clearly my guess is she simply depends on her outstanding artistry to produce these unbelievably beautiful interpretations unmemorized.

Kevin Neal Angelina simply is fantastic with everything she sings. I sincerely appreciate her ability to do her own arrangement of each song. Sometimes the change is drastic and other times the change is slight. I agree with a few of the other people here, Angelina's performance of A MILLION YEARS AGO, is beyond amazing. I am with everyone else, I can't listen to Angelina sing it without tears coming to me, so much emotion in her vocal.

I am almost convinced that, after years of being a 'star', she has realized what it really is. As I write this, in 2020 she's fourteen, She wanted to be a superstar, when she won Norway's got Talent at seven, and she's there. Now what?,,,, She needs support, in ways that aren't the normal venue. She's a child, in age and growth, and she probably won't be able to handle what comes next. No amount of parental, or 'circle of friends', support has ever shielded a performer from the flood which she faces. I truly weep for her, so young, innocent, and vulnerable, and facing a future which is designed to chew her up and spit out the broken remains. If I were..... but I'm not,,, and so she must face this, as has every child star in history, alone. I hope she makes it, against all the odds.

Same time you were showing goose bumps, tears were flowing for me. Same reaction different outcomes. She is no older than 14. She changes every January, I'm not sure of the date I think the first half of January. It should say somewhere in the notes. O.K. I just looked she had just turned 13 when she performed this. When she gets more confidence in her songwriting abilities, or more people start writing for her. I kept trying to figure that smile out, and I think she gets embarrassed by the attention and applause. She has said when she sings she goes to a different place, but she has to come back and it is there that her humbleness shows with that enigmatic smile and a curtsy. We can all thank her family for her level-headedness. I think they instilled some very good anti-diva impulses in her. Thank you for your reactions they honest and true.

I think a lot of folks don't get the meaning of the mask at the beginning. In classical theater the actor's mask was a standard accessory. That is what this is hearkening back to: the show must go on. Put on your mask and go out there. Angie's mask is referencing this but it's been updated with her or her grandmother's artistic flair. Of course, Freddie was tacitly acknowledging his own illness towards the end of his life. Thanks for a great reaction. Angie breaks the mold here, showing she can belt it out with the best of them, without breaking a sweat. I think it's one of her best vocals. So strong and controlled for any age, but at 13? Wow!

this IS amazing. That 14 year old girl shares with all of the world this talent. We are given the gift to see her evolve, right infront of our eyes. Her talent isn't "norwegian". She shares it with the world, just Neil armstrong shared with world his first steps on the moon. For that, I'm very thankful, thankful for that Angelina's parents dared to share this with us and that they still do. Angelina's gift isn't for us norwegians to bask in and call our selves "proud" because of. It's her talent and her talent alone, we are simply lucky to share it with her.
