So my pre-premiere comment said that one of the reasons I was excited was because of the range of ways you can play up your interpretation of the song. And you just chose to do ALL OF THEM. We've got our darling Lacey in pink, sugary-sweet and faux-innocent, almost coy, like spun sugar laced with arsenic. Her voice bats her lashes at the audience, flutters doe eyes and pouts full lips, and is covered in sparkles that still cut like the old descriptions of fairy dust. Then there's Gezeus, suitably in red, almost angry and simultaneously having a manic amount of fun, growling and snarling at the audience and loving every second of it, something wild and unrestrained in his magic and his voice. Bared fangs and blazing eyes and bated breath all in one. And there's you. With the rich darkness of your voice, the spell vibrating in your lower register, the darkly playful and almost serpentine seduction of the head of the coven. The almost-restraint, the slight less amount of showoff behavior, embodying an older, more patient magic, grasping at your limbs and neck before you realize it's there. I'm being pulled apart in three different directions, spinning in a game of blind man's bluff for the coven's entertainment. I love how the sections that could be seen as competitive become a case of propping each other up; how the "younger witches" stand their ground but defer to the "leader" when it's time, with excitement and not resentment. The art is immaculate, the variations in the fashion concepts are amazing as well, and the editing has me as speechless as the song, even with the funnier bits. The necklace on you that looks as ancient as your magic and contrasts beautifully with the play of masc and femme elements of your clothes; Lacey's pretty pink and girly... everything, and the amazing detail of the heart spinning around in the manifestation of his magic; dapper and smartly pressed Gezeus smiling with sharp teeth and growling while holding up a blood moon. The transitions with the changes that felt like visual and auditory transfers of power, the hypnotic quality of it all. If there's such a thing as a perfect version, this is it. A million metaphorical bows!

'I put a spell on you' is one of my all time favourite songs. The song just has elements that draws listeners in, it can be portrayed as something playful, or something sinister. There is just so much someone can do with it to create the general form of what they want, but it is all up to the singers to give it a heart, a soul, a personality... I can already imagine the richness, the hypnotic depth and contrast that these three incredible artists will give it. I can't wait for the results of their collab, hard work and dedication. Stoked.

Is it possible for one to be speechless yet all giggly inside? It's like there's so much delight to process and yet you're stunned by how great that was. One of the things I enjoy most with your work is the harmonies. There's no other way to describe the feeling it incites within me but UNFF! You know? Just hits so right.
