liger had the perfect way to save himself. i imagine you accounted for everything, even obsidian becoming destructible so you cant shield yourself... but then the skyblock would have acted as bedrock, indestructible and liger managed to pick up the perfect amount to cover himself, he would have been trapped but he would have been safe

When thinking about how to escape, my first idea was going to a different dimension, then the second was to build up to height limit after realizing, that the barrier is consisting of blocks and third glittching trhough it. Worst case, forcefully break through the bedrock (assuming that the "sky block" only goes down to bedrock and not all the way down) Edit: You could probably use the ladder trick to glitch through a slanted part of the dome.
