The electrical/soldering walk-through is much appreciated! Since anything much beyond 'on/off' makes my eyes glaze over, I'm certain your tips will make this process less painful! 😊

I love that the fireplaces are on their own circuit

It's a necessity. If they shared the circuit with normal bulbs they might cause them to flicker too.

Thank you - this is so helpful! My dolls house has been at a standstill for 2 years as I dint know where to start with the wiring! Your teaching style is fabulous, really easy to follow and I’m inspired to give it a go after ordering a few more items as you recommend ❤thank you, thank you xx

This is wonderful! I'm just starting the project. I appreciate the links so much. After you solder the light wires to the copper what kind of wire do you use to go from the copper to the switch?
@feffiescottage9 ай бұрын
The same 28AWG wire.

Hey there super awesome tutorial. I understood almost all and just ordered your list of components. One question, why do I need the copper tape, why am I not just running all the wires to the block and twisting them together and then putting them into the negative side of the block and into the positive side of the switch? That's the only thing I'm not getting. Thank you so much for sharing😃👍🏻👏🏻

You can do that too. It's just easier and neater to organize & combine circuits (for me). Especially when you have multiple lights per circuit. It's simpler to have one wire per curcuit going into the block. It also makes it easier to add lights in later per room if you need to. It's not set in stone by any means. It just works for me. Some people do all copper tape. It corrodes easily, and the connections aren't very solid. All wire is fine, too, but adding stuff in later could be a pain.

Ahhh ok that all makes sense. Thanks so much for responding so quickly you've demystified this lighting thing for me because it has just been stressing the crap out of me⭕️❌
@feffiescottage Жыл бұрын
@lunadargent5292 No stress. There's really no worst-case here (unless it's a catastrophic house fire). Fixes are easy. Just take it step by step and you'll be fine.

Hey girl me again sorry to bother you AGAIN! but I have one more quick question I bought everything on your list so I can do it exactly like how you're showing but I also ended up getting from Cir-Kit their CK1009D 40 W table top transformer, its the 12 V DC one. I'm wondering if I could use this power supply instead of the one on your list? And if I can will I still follow your directions the same just using this power supply instead or am I looking at a pain in the butt bunch of changes because it's DC? Thank you so much for your time😃

@lunadargent5292 Honestly I have no idea. I just bought a generic plug with integrated 12v transformer in it.

My dollhouse doesn’t have a back for the wiring, am i able to do this all underneath the house? It’s just the front of the house which is decorated and then the open side of the house.
@feffiescottage9 ай бұрын
If you have a space beneath it, you should be able to, yes. But you might want to measure the power distribution board to make sure it's thin enough to fit your 'crawlspace'. The commercial mini lighting kit is low-profile in that case.

Where do you get the wire for the fence? Thanks
@feffiescottage5 ай бұрын
@bbuglady1 K & S Precision Metals. You can find them online and my local Ace Hardware carries them. They have a variety of metals and shapes and gauges. I used copper for the fence. They also have brass.

@@bbuglady1 You will need another kind of flux for that kind of soldering. I failed to mention that on this video.
