No problem, I have mostly Sony full-frame and a 1", but also a Nikon P1000, and of course the MFT. I am new to MFT (2024), but I have been using Sony since 2006. I scrapped my Sony SLT/DSLR in favor of the OM-1 MK II, with three lenses. I used the Sony APS-C SLT for about 90%, and since switching to MFT, I use it mostly as well. Nevertheless, I have more lenses and a much higher investment in the Sony full-frame system. It's just better for low-light, moving subjects like indoor sports, aquarium shooting, etc., which I also do. So yes, there is no shame in having more than one system-who doesn't?

I think this is one of the best April's fools out there. I have been consciously aware of the day since yesterday evening so I don't fall for fake news; however, it somehow slipped my mind here because I knew Robin dabbled with FF or a long time, I literally started making things out when Matti started doing the whole secret thing about "why Robin doesn't show photos from his paid gigs" this is when it hit me, and I was like "Gosh, April fools... duh"😄 but this was fun to watch😁 love you both guys, and here's to the next 10 years of your friendship🥂

In my case it's not a joke - I really left mFT/OM System for the full frame Canon R6 MkII. It gives me better image quality especially in low light. And overall better quality in normal lighting situations. And the camera is extremely versatile and capable and does not cost more than the OM-1/MkII.

I tested very carefully OM-1 with R8(same image quality as R6II) and OM-1 is way better in image quality in bright and normal situations...people on OM-1 look like real..on R8 like only pictures..only in darker interiors its easier to make a photo of moving objects with R8 because of high iso capability..R8 was returned and im so happy with OM-1 with 12-40mm f2,8 PRO II..its miraculous thing:)

For years as I used Olympus system cameras, four thirds and micro four thirds. I followed your channel, you were one of my main sources guidance. But I decided I needed to upgrade to the Nikon Z system and sold all my Olympus gear. There are days I miss the MFT gear. But I went with two Z5's and fell in love with the gear. Because of weight issues I eventually switched around and got two Z50's and a Z30. Glad to hear you are on Nikon... I have subscribed again! Thanks!

I too have a Nikon Z5 and absolutely love it. In fact, it is becoming my main camera. But I also use an Olympus OM-D and enjoy the compact size and lower weight. It is perfectly OK to use two different systems, isn't it?

I am torn between the z5 with 50mm 1.8s and the em1mkii with 20mm 1.4 pro. I’d like to also do larger wildlife and bird photography in the future and that 300mmf/4 looks awesome. I can only afford one camera and one lens at the moment and like normal primes.

Love it! In all seriousness, the Z5 is a great basis for a relatively inexpensive full frame addition to one's m4/3 kit. However, it's still hard to get past the size and weight of the lenses needed for equivalent field of view.

Haha I am not going to lie I love my Zf, but my first m43 in years is on its way now. After much consideration got the G9ii and 9mm panaleica. If all goes well, the Fuji system will get sold and will get a few more lenses lightening my load on the back and knees for hiking. Zf is my fun camera mostly shooting old adapted manual focus lenses.

I'm just moving up to a G9 myself, after years of using pro-sumer cameras like the OM-5 Mk III, GX7, GX85. How do you compare it against the EM-1 Mk II, which I also seriously considered? In particular, is the G9 viewfinder lightyears ahead of the E-M1's? That was my main selling point.

honestly, you fooled me Great video. I am really looking at the G9 m2 for all it's great features but that 2x crop is something that still scares me. As a canon guy, 1.6 is pretty strenuous and a larger crop factor has always been scary. But after reading more about used Lumix G85 and 95, the idea of having ibis and weather sealing sounds amazing. I still dream of full frame- I can't imaging an rectilinear 10 or 12mm and at low f stops, how well indoor group photos could be. But an out door m43 camera might be an interesting adventure in the other direction.

I think this is true about Robin. I had the pleasure of meeting Robin last year in KL. He did talk a big line about m43. And before that by seeing Robin's videos I was persuaded to buy an Olympus 4/3 camera for the THIRD TIME, after giving it up TWICE! And as the guy in the video suggested did Robin ever show me a portfolio case of gorgeous 16 x 20 (inch) m/43 prints? Negatory! What I think now is that I'm going to return to KL and see if I can trade in my EM5-3, he Panny 20, which Robin dissed anyway, and my 25mm f1.7 Olympus for some roti and a bowl of cold beef noodles at the end of Jalan Sultan at that place with the big line. and then call it a day

My side body I still use when out for work is an E-P5, usually with a 15mm f1.7. That setup with my main body/lens of an EM5.iii/75mm f1.8 lets me take the nice lifestyle portraits I’m looking for and quickly swap for a wider angle without being distracting/intrusive. I have a G9/12-40mm f2.8 in my bag too after giving my EM1.iii to my work partner, but the two small Olympus are fine. The dream is a new E-P5 (or even a new G100 with the same specs/features of the hypothetical new E-P5, I actually like that body a lot) with the same level of specs (1/8000 mechanical shutter or solid eshutter today, toggle mode switch, two dials, external EVF even if the same great old one, etc.) plus weather sealing. The E-P7 isn’t bad, but it feels more like how the GX9 didn’t really feel like a proper GX8 successor. All that said, I still have my A6000 from years ago and am using my fp L every trip these days, mostly in APS-C or medium image mode to get crop or smaller images at around 25-26mp, as a possible replacement for the E-P5. Hard to beat the same mount on the three MFT I use, though.
