I may have to try out the mod for this game, cuz my store right now is at $50k and I've got some cool cards on display... plus it's kinda addicting to play. I have yet to get an expensive card over $3k.

Day 4 of asking megabits to do this Palworld challenge idea: The "good guy" challenge here are the rules: The ONLY pals that you can catch AND/OR kill are hostile pals (also the hostile pals have to agro to you first before you attack). If you want more than just hostile pals then caged pals or pals that you bred or hatched from an egg are allowed. You can also catch humans but only if they are hostile. You can kill all the tower bosses except for the Free Pal Alliance tower boss and the PIDF tower boss ( the Free Pal Alliance which I will refer as the FPA for short does not seem to realize that the FPA "devouts" are a whole bunch of hipocrites when reading the lore pages and although the PIDF toqer boss is possible and probably evil, they are I assume the leader of the PIDF which keeps a lot of the people safe from criminals that are not the syndicate because I assume that the syndicate are too powerful, and I do not know who the new tower boss is or what their personality is, but feel free to read me their lore pages). And you can't enter boss specific dungeons, however normal dungeons are fine. And you can't buy stuff from the merchants. And those are the rules, more rules than your average Palworld challenge, yet less at the same time.

Not sure how I feel about those "games". I have seen those exact same assets in at least three games by now. Also yes they are always from the same "developers". Its not illegal but it is very scummy

For me, I don’t look at the assets. Not everyone can build a game 100% from scratch, often due to lack of artistic skill or funding. The asset store is there for exactly these reasons. An incompetent asset flip and a budget indie game aren’t the same thing. I look at the gameplay. Is it original? Do they try to bring something new to the genre? Is it basically a reskin of another game? How many major bugs are there? Does the art style look unified despite using store assets? Is the developer still updating the game and responding to bug reports/feature suggestions? I’ve dabbled in game design, and it is VERY HARD to make a game on a low /no budget and/or in your free time. Making assets is time-consuming and difficult, and commissioning them can get expensive for someone who just wants to make their passion project. I’m kinda sick of this “asset store = bad” mentality tbh

@@Xenephos But it is the exact same game. I saw those exact assets and gameplay like a year ago or so on " Letsgameitout". Now that I think about it I'm pretty sure I saw this exact game twice on his channel just under a different name a few years apart. They just buy a new map asset and plop a different store onto it and rename it. Until it finally catches on. This is an asset flip. The most impressive part here is the mod. Which isn't from the "developers"

​@@requiemagent3014 you're talking about Supermarket Simulator, yes it has a very similar gameplay but only with the stocking part, and it isn't from the same dev at all, this dev has made other games with his TCG assets, this latest one is the most successful and most of those gameplay/asset that they share are literally free assets anyone can use, considering the dev is a single person apparently, it makes sense to use stuff already made that anyone can use. Edit: I checked and OPNeon has started with a mobile game in 2021 with the exact same TCG asset (not the same concept though, it was more a monster battler) considering Supermarket Simulator is a lot newer (and OPNeon have had a discord since their first game) there's very little chance they are the same dev
