I hopped on the "escape the matrix" bandwagon 2 months ago - and it has been an incredibly eye opening and transformative period of my life. I didn't have a job lined up when I quit so I have been getting creative with making an income (which I will share in future videos), but most importantly, I've been forced to dive inwards and unlearn a lot of what capitalism taught us.
thank you for being on this journey with me.

Girl, are we twins? I just don't have kids, instead I have mental health issues, dealing with the divorce of my parents because my mom doesn't have the capacity because she is not well, her mental health is also down the drain, and I'm starting to battle suicidal thoughts and openly saying I cannot do it anymore. My life is a lot and I'm just in my twenties.

I quit my job back in September 2023 and have been on a 5 month vacation ever since , I’m living off my savings until March. It’s so relieving not going to work the next day or dealing with annoying co-workers. I’ve had a lot of time to reflect and figure out my next move. Wish you luck on your future endeavors 💪🏽😎 we got this!

You just quit your job with no plan and no money saved up? Why is everyone leaving their job without no money saved up? This is so crazy. I don't know if I should laugh at you or feel sorry for you. Listen to what you just said. You said you left your job on your own with no money saved up and the lady put a heart by your comment as if you did the right thing. So how did you survive? How did you buy food and pay your bills if you don't mind me asking. Why is everyone leaving their job? Is it that bad?

Most people don’t work for an employer thinking they’re making someone else rich. They’re doing it as a trade for a salary so they can live. Unless someone has a regular income from somewhere, savings, or a partner who has an income, it’s almost impossible to just quit their job.

You are on the right path young lady. I'm 59 and a half and after 30 years of dedicated service as a coordinator in the Document Services Department at a now defunct law firm, on Thanksgiving Day I received an email telling me I was terminated. Corporate America does not play fair and unfortunately, I was too scared to act on it. in my younger years I see you young people are rewriting the rule book. Good for you, the Universe will send you where you need to be.

I had lost my folks both in junior high and had a strong sense of independence AND self preservation from a young age of 14. Its Okay to have doubts but I maintain that when Ur selfworth , ambition takes the Driver's seat.... Nothing is impossible. At the Age of 34 now,I'm embarking on a very scary and rewarding studies in architecture.Let Providence Guide Me 🙏

This is a great video. I see that my daughter has the same mindset. She was in college (a renowned HBCU) and after one semester she realized she was not fulfilled. She moved into her own apartment with the help of her parents and had me paying the rent lol. The more she got up every morning to go to class, the more she realized that her destiny was paving a very different blueprint. She told me her plans and the minute I came to remove the last bit of items out of her apartment, she began her journey to self entrepreneurship. She has not stopped and continues to work on HER dreams, instead of someone else's. That to me is the meaning of a true girl boss lol :) You're definitely an inspiration and I will continue to follow you on your journey...Loving the hair by the way chica!!

We’re definitely in the same boat. Just quit my job as a practice administrator 08/18/23. I been through so much with employers the past 2 years that I believe I’m jaded. I don’t believe I’m mentally ready to work for a company right now. I’m not sure what I’m going to do I’ve been so dependent on a job since I was 15. I was supposed to make a video but for the past 44 days I have been back and forth between “crumbling” and hopeful. Your video has encouraged me to make. Hopefully I can muster up enough energy to make it this week. I would love your support. New content coming soon.

I’m so glad I found this video. I quit my 6 figure job for many of the reasons you listed. After 11 months, I decided to apply for another corperate position. I made it to the final round when I was badgered by the interviewer on why I would quit my previous job. Despite being low on funds. I’ve decided that company is not the one for me. This video really helped me to feel stronger in my decision and not gaslight myself.

Anais, hope things are going okay for you since you left your job. You should be proud of yourself for this. I am also in a similar situation and am so grateful I stumbled onto your video. I can very much relate to the feeling that we have been so brainwashed into believing in corporate and making other business owners so much money. I’ve been in hospitality since I was about 15 and now I’m 30. I quit my job yesterday also with no backup plan, but my soul has been tugging at me to do this and I can’t shake it.
