I really love how every gun-tuber (that I watch, at least) is so open to learning and becoming better. I think it’s an important attitude to have in the community so that newer shooters (like me) don’t feel discouraged and more experienced people know that they can always become better, handle safer and have more fun gaining new skills.

I personally love this type of content. I've taken several classes, with several different instructors with a wide range of experience/backgrounds. It is mind boggling how each time i take a class, I always learn something so basic and logical that i just never thought of before. Many instructors have differing opinions or approaches about specific practices, but it's always nice to learn why they approach those things differently. I like seeing people within the gun community humbling themselves enough to take a course. I know too many people that have grown up around guns, regularly get range time on their own and think that they don't "need" to take a course, meanwhile they are unknowingly practicing bad habits and building said habits into their muscle memory. Love the channel brother.

@Nathaniel Shrock Getting gun classes isn't absolutely necessary to train firearms proficiency (you should probably get one once a year), T.REX ARMS has a lot of really good videos on how to train at home (dry fire, airsoft), and on your own at a shooting range (either a private one or one where boomer fudd RSOs aren't riding your backdoor for shooting more than one round a minute or practicing drawing from concealment and shooting, although even in shooting ranges like that you can still practice _some_ skills). There are other guntubers that also give solid advice on firearms handling and related stuff, Matt primarily does just entertainment videos with little to no real world application value, except maybe, the "how bulletproof is x" video series.

Quick side note: leaving mags loaded doesn't help loosen them up. Springs only wear out by compressing and decompressing, not by remaining in a state of constant compression or decompression. This is why you're able to keep magazines loaded for years at a time and the springs act the same way as when you initially loaded them. If you want to loosen those mags, gotta work that spring multiple times.

It's so good to see people who are teaching in a supportive way. No judgement, no negative criticism. Just being helpful and spreading your knowledge. I'm 33 years old and I've never had anyone that could teach me how to shoot and teach me techniques. I've also been afraid to ask because of all the toxic masculinity that happens with this kind of stuff. It's encouraged me to ask for help.

Assuming that you would be worse in a real firefight is very mature and absolutely true. That's why repetition is king. You need to train to a level where you don't have to think about what you're doing. That's when the stress isn't affecting your performance as much. KCT seems like a really nice gig. Great stuff what Tom is doing over there.

@PATRICK FROM ATLANTA I can't form an opinion on this as myself being a avid Glock 34 and Glock 40 fan have never shot on a competitive level outside of the Army training grounds. And I guess you can blame the Army for my Glock Fandom while my first service pistol was the heavy Baretta 92fs I later was able to carry a Glock 19.

This was good stuff. It actually helped me with my draw and finding the sight as well. I was also bringing it up in front and doing the whole "where is it" thing. He showed me how to put it in line with my eye and that took time off of finding the sight. I'm no comp shooter but time off anywhere is faster all around. And that gun looks 🔥🔥🔥

Hilarious Intro!!! In movement/fire drills. I train to move with my pistol, to the dominant side of my chest, pointed up/toward the target, so I'm ready to go on target as fast as possible. KCT's class is a must for anyone who doesn't have that kind of training. Critical in real world shooting situations and combat situations.
