Framme is at least A tier exclusively because of her supports with a lot of the better S and A units making her a monster with the Lucina support dodge skill

I might have to try her out with Lucina next, but I don't think her having supports with other characters in the top tier is enough to bump her that much, maybe up to B-tier though.

With micaiah engraved shielding art, lucina dual support skill and standing next to alear nobody will target her. Also Qu adept bond shield is always 100% guaranteed

You should try out Griffin Knight Goldmary. Easily the best tank in the game having the highest combined Def and Res along with easily workable speed. On top of that having your tank be able to rewarp herself around the map is always fun.

I did a sniper crit build Yunaka on my maddening playthrough, and she was an absolute drug to use. I gave her a Fates-forged killer bow, and she had a consistent minimum 80% crit rate *without* Trained to Kill active. Combining with Lunar Brace and Brute Force more than made up for her lower attack stat. Granted, you can do this build with most units, but Yunaka has a higher crit ceiling with Trained to Kill

I feel you're undervaluing Boucheron a lot, he's really good early game as he is your only backup for a while so being able to position him to help others is great, once you get him going his strength can snowball as he's an axe fighter so you have the class modifier from there. Pairing him with Marth or Sigurd is good as they can grab him the extra strength, like with momentum or keep the chrom ring on him. training him to be a hero is also good too as his spd will allow him to most likely quad with a brave sword and then having Robin chain attack he will be doing a lot, but you can make a mage cannoneer as he has really good dex and you need that for hitting with that class and using Corrin will allow him to stop a lot of enemy movements due to her engage skills and since he'll be hitting, stopping enemy movement is great

Anna pretty much matches Pandreo at the same IL with the same class. Except Anna makes you money and joins a lot earlier in exchange for a little work. As for her "cost", it honestly isn't as bad as people make it out to be. You can level her to 10 in 1-3 chapters by just giving her Micaiah and having her great sec + heal (depending on how much you hurt your units and how slowly you take the map, 2 chapters is quite possible at a regular playing speed). Not only that but giving her Micaiah this early in the game isn't a big deal as nobody really has much use for her at this point. Another upside of this strat is that she doesn't take any combat exp from your frontline units. Also what are you doing that Second Seals are a precious resource early? Most units can directly Master Seal into their best classes, its usually the early Master Seals that are super contested. Love the tier list!

Give Fogado another try. Fogado has that weird strong magic growth that makes him viable with radiant bow. In my maddening playthrough, he deletes wyvern riders and griffin knights easily thanks to that extra oomph of magic stat with radiant bow and since how fast he naturally is he will always double them.

I most definitely will try that out. I was just missing the proper build probably for him because I truly believe all units in Engage can be good, you just need to know what you're doing.

I’ve found he’s actually a MONSTER as a Warrior. He’s so fast and Warrior helps out his strength, he easily doubles and kills most units. Plus he can one-shot mages, unlike with a Radiant Bow build. He also gets up and going faster when he doesn’t have to wait for the Radiant Bow. One of the better killers on my current run

Agree with most of the tier list actually. I personally would separate hortensia and seadall on a separate tier where both are the best in supporting allies. I disagree with fogado tho, i reclassed him in warrior and he was amazing in my team with the radiant bow.

My problem with Fogato is that Merrin is just better. She has more Strength, Magic, and Bulk while also being just as fast so she is better for that build.

fogato+ radient bow(heck add a levin too) foguto comes out of box solid either magic or phyiscal and framme is a PEFERECT bond shielder for basicly whole game and boucheron is CON beast

I think that this is a solid list overall. Personally, though, I would say that Yunaka and Zelkov are at least borderline A by virtue of them starting out as thieves alone. Poison damage is never something you should sleep on! Just to be clear, yes. I know that you can reclass anybody to be a Wolf Knight or a Thief to give them access to knives, but that means that you also have to get Leif's bond level up, so said units get knife prof. Yunaka and Zelkov start off with it.

Mage Knight is good for Celine it helps Celine's lesser good MAG growth combine it with Tiki and you would have a pretty nice mag

I mostly agree with this but have a few changes i would make. I would pit Chloe at the bottom of A because her damage output falls off heavily around mid game and ahe turns into a staff bot which others do better. Pandreo up to S because he basically has no flaws as a unit while Anna should drop to C due to how difficult it is to get her going. Etie to the top of B because she has the best Strength and apeed distribution in the game. Invredibly high strength (3rd highest) and easily fixable speed to reach doubling thresholds. Lastly Alcryst should move to C and Timerra to D or possible F. They both hevily rely on % chance procs to reliably do damage which is unlikely to happen however at least Luna is more consistent damage wise late game than Sandstorm.

Good tier list but I think Pandreo should be probably top of S tier imo. If you put him on Sword Griffin or Sword Mage Knight and give him a Levin Sword +3 he doesn't even need skills, maybe just a speed boosting bond ring like Anna or Sharena. Magic is easily the best type of damage in the game.

I think Jade and Louis are super comparable, Louis is a beeg wall, but Jade can also be a big wall. And she tanks mages better, at some point you don't need more defense. Lindon is also very serviceable, if you need an extra staff bot or Thoron unit

@@kratosmvn_ She's also insanely fast, which really helps differentiate her from Citrinne because you don't need to gacha for the ring that lets you double with Thoron to get that second attack, plus she obviously gets horse mobility and the option for emergency axe breaks if you really need it

Id say all the DLC units are top tier. They all join as promoted units and can join as early as like chapter 7. Madeline is the worst one, but she is a walking wall and essentially obsoletes Louis if you grab her early

My issue with Louis (and Yunaka to an extent) in Maddening is that the AI is tweaked in a way that they won't attack a unit if they cannot damage it. Because Louis is so tanky, often times enemies won't be able to hurt him, which is fine in Hard and below. In Maddening, they just outright ignore him, taking away his entire niche of baiting out strong physical attackers. Yunaka has the similar issue of being so dodgy that she'll often just not be targeted. I think both of them are mid-tier in Maddening specifically, but top tier in Hard.

Bouche is pretty good if you actually build him properly, just level him as berserker and then hand him a brave axe. He'll be able to one round anything in the game including Sombron on maddening. Once he reaches 20 on berserker second seal him to warrior and hes good to go.

@@kratosmvn_ Berserker amber is literally Panette 2.0, same str however he gets +20 hit over her +10 crit, so he's a sidegrade. He however can get the pre split exp dump from Celica/Micaiah and also inherit skills from the first 6 emblems, most notably Hold Out from Roy (though he needs a book for that) which allows him to cheese so many enemies.

To be fair, how do you one-up FE3H, with all its unique characters, massive branching narrative, and sheer quantity of gameplay options? Frankly, I think going for a game with Fantastic Gameplay and Serviceable Story was probably the best choice to make. This also has the advantage of meaning people will be comparing whatever FE title comes next against Engage instead of 3H.
