FE7 was my intro to Fire Emblem, and I’ve played it multiple times. Your take on Eliwood is accurate. He is bad and your hatred is valid. Worst forced deploy. The Lancereaver from Port Badon can help him in midgame chapters when you are forced to use him and lances are the primary weapon type enemies use. Save it for him and he won’t be a sitting duck. Losing 2 speed from the weight isn’t a big deal when he already wouldn’t be doubling, and the body ring gained from the desert chapter can offset the weight if a player decides to use Eliwood as a carry.

So yeah thats not how growths work, when you level, each stat uses an rn if you're within your growth rate it goes up. The only case where maxing a stat increases your growths is technically when the game has a min +1 stat on level.

Demon king has hard coding that forces anims on, and nightmare doesn't have in battle anims thus the game gets confused and crashed, same would happen if I were to wack him with a sword wielding Valkyrie (like what could happen in AS Dice Rando on Asmodeus, no one reading this will have a clue what I am on about but eh)

The reason NIghtmare doesn't work on the demon king is because Nightmare doesn't have an actual battle animation, just a map animation, and the Demon King forces battle animations.

With the whole refilling your HP at the start of the map. Wouldn't it have been faster to change how much HP the Ropes to like +50 hp so that you only need to use 2 or 3 of them?
