You are much more forgiving than I would be. I always thought most of there stuff along with Apollo Games was pretty bad. I could see these games in the bins at the stores after the crash for a buck or two.

I bought "Airlock" from the bargain bin at Woolworth's for $2. In that context it was worth it. Those paddle controllers were a pain when the potentiometers starting wearing out (which usually didn't take that long). It's too bad that the method used by mice with roller balls wasn't available.

It's a shame you guys had crappy paddle controllers growing up. I fixed many "jittery" paddles buy taking them apart and cleaning the contacts with Q-Tips and rubbing alcohol.

Journey was the only one I ever found, and I played it a lot. I think it works well because the crowd characters don't move in s predictable manner.

If I recall correctly, the scoring in Warplock goes to 99. I think the game ends there, I don't think the score resets. It's actually pretty easy if you're using a real paddle controller.

Actually the problem with Encounrer at L5 is that you can play and never lose a life with minial effort. As stated, your ship reamins staioary while holdimg the button down but as soon as you release, your ship will zap to where ever your aiming square is on top gettinhg ypu out of trouble.

Don't like the paddles? I do not think I have ever heard somebody say they do not like the paddles.

Airlock is in my top ten. Probably nostalgia mostly.
