Capcom sure made some amazing games for SNES. Here's a look at all of them (I think it's all) and where I would rank them on my own experience.

We did get the Japan-only Mickey & Donald game on GBA here in the west, where it was called "Disney's Magical Quest 3 Starring Mickey & Donald", when Capcom was porting SNES games to the GBA in the early 2000's. Same goes for Mega Man & Bass, as it also was a Japan-only SNES game that got a GBA port in the west, though it is very difficult to play due to lack of screen, so you have to deal with a ton of off-screen enemies. Also, Fun Fact: Mega Man & Bass on the SNES, or as it is known in Japan as RockMan & Forte on the Super Famicom, was released in 1998, two years after Mega Man 8 on PS1, and also takes place after 8. EDIT: I did notice you forgot two Capcom published games, by the way, being Super Buster Bros and Wizardry V: Heart of the Maelstrom.

It’s funny, usually when I watch ‘video-game related content’ on YT, I tend to go for things that are more like in-depth analysis, breaking things down, pros and cons, story (where applicable) and so forth. Not sure if it’s just bc you were covering so many games, but I really dug the laid-back, ‘quickly tell you everything important you need to know/rank/move on’ style of this, sets you apart a bit. Capcom’s Aladdin has such a great flow to it. It’s smooth and rhythmic, and you can really get into a groove when you play. Not only is it a surprisingly unique take on the platforming genre, but it’s… FUN to play. The genesis game, as much as I really want to like it, just feels so much slower and methodical. It’s very stop and go and just feels like a chore to get through. Beautiful as it is, I just don’t find it very enjoyable. The only argument I ever hear in its favor is that “IT HAS A SWORD!”, which sounds like a parody of a real argument in terms of gameplay. That said I do want to like the genesis Aladdin (I did spend money on it), any pointers would be appreciated.
@brianhatcher2799
@brianhatcher2799 4 ай бұрын

Most movie-based games in the 90's were mediocre, at best, and have aged like milk. SNES Aladdin is among the few gems in this category. The visuals, the music, smooth controls. I think the challenge is just right, too. Not too hard, although casual gamers may run into some obstacles in the later levels... but if it were too easy no one would play it... lol

These 2 games do not get enough attention for people who enjoy JRPGS especially BoF2, they are always overshadowed by others like Final Fantasy games which i also love lol. I know everyones taste is different but man that series did a number on me as a kid and as an adult, perhaps people aren't seeing what diehard fans of the series are seeing. They arent perfect because some in the series should be longer and feels like it ends suddenly but they belong in S tier with the Mega Man X games in my books :)

You should have finished Breath of Fire II, becaue unlike all the other Breath of Fire games in the series, it was absolutely worth it, one of the best Final Boss Fights and endings in an JRPG ever. And honestely its the best game in the series. You downrated a very good game and timless classic. Its the hardest, too, but all RPG games are easy by default, so it does not matter. You can prepare everything for turn based combat by just bringing plenty of heals and potions. Its not Battletoads.

Eye of the Beholder was meant for computer; much like Wizardry 5 and 6 and Might and Magic 2 and 3, they imply weren't designed for a console's control scheme. They're designed around having a keyboard, if not Keyboard and mouse. All are classic CRPGs, even if Might and Magic 2, and Wizardry 5 and 6 are a bit harder to get into these days (especially Wizardry, which still didn't have graphics tiles until Wizardry 7). I can recommend them though, and most aren't hard to get these days, and they'll run on a toaster, much less a cheap micro PC or laptop. They just didn't work well on SNES, due to needing the UI completely redesigned around the controller (and not the half-assed job they did do). Mega Man 7 always felt kinda slow and clunky; not as smooth as the majority of the NES titles. Still very fun, very good game. But I think the large sprite kinda hurt it's feel.

@@neoclassic09 It was better than Might and Magic 2 and 3 on the Genesis and SNES but it was still clunky compared to the DOS version using a keyboard.

never played the og mega mans on nes but when I was in the mall, while quickly looking in a video game store, I saw the newly released mega man x game on the shelf. I thought it looked cool so I asked for it for my, I think 11th bday coming up in a few weeks. Happy to say my mom got it for me and it became one of my favorite franchises of the 90s. played the hell out of 1,2 and 4 on ps

Out of the SNES CAPCOM Games my favorite is Demon's Crest . Why that game? you might ask. Well it's a childhood favorite of mine and it was my second snes when I got my snes, plus it was the game that I enjoy the most and still proudly own it to this day. Now don't get wrong, there are other capcom games thay I love absolute and enjoy such as Super Street Fighter 2,Super Ghouls'Ghost, U.N Squadrom aka Area 88,Mega Man X and X men mutant apocalypse, but Demon's Crest was the game that I felt in love at first sight because of it's dark medieval gothic look not to mention the medieval gothic music and it's gameplay which is a mix of Mega Man X with a bit of Ninja Gaiden and Bataman which reminds me of Street Fighter 2010 The Final Fight on the NES and Just like street Fighter 2010, Demon's Crest is an awesome, unique and underated game and mind you demon's crest is the last game of the spin off series gargoyle quest starring Red Arremer aka Fire Brand.

Bonkers was a palette swap of Roger Rabbit. They should've just made a Roger cartoon series instead. It would've done a lot better I bet. And I really wish we had a Roger Rabbit SNES game. Maybe an RPG like the Game boy version that was made by Capcom.

“U.N. Squadron” should have had better box art. It’s not bad, but it just kind-of conveys “flight simulator game.” At least it does to me.

The Great Circus Mystery also have 2 player co-op, unlike The Magical Quest (that one you can only take turns in 2-player mode).

For dungeon crawlers on consoles, I don't understand why devs do not implement directionnals moves on the dpad, in someway or another

Around here Bonkers was an after school show. I think it didn't catch on because it launched towards the end of the whole Disney Afternoon thing. For a long time it was DuckTakes, Rescue Rangers and Talespin. Although that might be a bad theory because Dark Wing Duck caught on pretty well.

Street Fighter Alpha 2 on Super NES...... I'm sure that would be an S rank also. The entire game was compressed down from the Capcom CPS2 arcade original to a 32 Megabit SNES Cartridge, with all characters in place
