Bro, I really like you as a person and as a content creator, but you can’t judge an entire country just because you visited 2 or 3 cities. I understand that Paris can be dangerous in certain neighborhoods, and I’m sorry for the bad experiences you had in France. However, to truly appreciate France and its culture, you should take a deeper dive into the country and explore some of its most beautiful villages and regions. For example, near Nice, there are so many stunning places you might have missed, like Gourdon, Saint-Paul-de-Vence, and Èze, which are absolutely breathtaking. You should also consider visiting other remarkable regions, such as: - The Camargue with its wild horses, flamingos, and unique landscapes. - The Basque Country, famous for its vibrant culture, food, and coastal beauty. - Alsace, with its fairy-tale villages like Colmar and Riquewihr. - The Auvergne, home to incredible volcanoes and green landscapes. - The Gorges du Verdon, often called Europe’s Grand Canyon. - The Ardèche region with its stunning rivers and caves. - The Périgord (Dordogne), famous for its medieval castles and gastronomy. - The Bordeaux wine route, where you can experience some of the world’s best wines. - The Calanques of Cassis, a paradise for nature lovers and hikers. - Annecy, with its turquoise lake and Alpine backdrop. - Carcassonne and its stunning ramparts, a UNESCO World Heritage site. - Toulouse, the "Pink City," known for its unique pink terracotta buildings and vibrant atmosphere. - Porquerolles Island, a Mediterranean paradise with beautiful beaches and crystal-clear waters. - The Dune du Pilat, the largest sand dune in Europe, offering breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Landes forest. - Narbonne, a historic city with Roman heritage and a lively market scene. - Corsica, the "Island of Beauty," known for its stunning mountains, picturesque beaches, and charming villages like Bonifacio and Corte. Honestly, there’s so much more to discover in France beyond the usual spots. You’ve only scratched the surface, and I’d encourage you to come back and experience the true essence of France, away from the usual tourist routes. It’s like if I judged the entire USA a country 20 times bigger than France just by visiting NYC, Las Vegas, and Phoenix. It wouldn’t be fair to reduce a country’s richness to just a handful of places. And sorry for the people who didn’t respond to you in English, unfortunately, you happened to come across the wrong people. Peace✌

If you ever do a political statement, make sure that you do your research. And especially if it's a comment that can generate hate. Turkish citizens don't hate armenians. Actually Armenians hate turkish people. It's like black people hating white people for what they did to their ancestors. And it wasn't millions of millions of people. So you lie about that we hate them. You lie about the numbers. My question is why?

This is a 'theory' based on ignorance. The medieval heritage in cities of Europe like Warsaw, Paris, Vienna etc etc were NOT destroyed by the war. Anything valuable medieval and destroyed/bombed during the war that was there in 1938 was rebulit/renovated. EVEN in Warsaw. Do little test! Check pictures of Warsaw/Paris/Vienna in 1938 etc and find something 'medieval' that you do not see today(rebuilt)!!! What destroyed historic/medieval heritage was constant rebuilding/redevelopment in 18th and 19th century!! Take Paris-medieval heritage(except few buildings) finally destroyed during the redevelopment of the city during 19th century. In Prague all that was preserved because it was a grand capital city up to 17th century when Habsburgs conquered the country and Prague became provincial backwaters for like 200years. So money were chanelled elsewhere, no new major building projects requiring tearing down 'old impractical buildings'. And when 'modernity' and money finally came to Prague after mid-19th century..... it was already when trend was to see value in old architecture and things. So historic central PRG escaped this Paris/Vienna style destruction/redevelopment/modernisation due to 200years gap in development. NOT because of 'no bombing'. This is absurd nonsense repeated all over again by lazy guides
Hey @letecmig, we can't call Prague a medieval city, but tons of medieval monuments got surrounded by Renaissance, Baroque, and then Neo-Gothic stuff. Same with the houses. Paris was way bigger back then, and you see medieval buildings, churches, palaces, fortifications everywhere, but they're surrounded by 19th-century buildings. Unlike Prague, the change wasn't gradual. The worst is that tiny island with Notre Dame and Sainte-Chapelle, plus part of the old royal palace - amazing medieval stuff! Sadly, the whole area got wrecked; they knocked down over 20 churches for ugly 19th-century buildings.

When it comes to Poland, you can get to know it in two ways: 1 (in a tourist way) Go to the most historical places such as Krakow, Wieliczka Salt Mine, Auschwitz Museum-Monument, Zamość - a perfect Renaissance city, Warsaw - a chessboard of modernity and history, Biskupin - a settlement from the times of the Roman Empire - on the basis of which the presentation of many similar wooden settlements is based, Malbork - the largest castle in the world, Gdańsk where the fight of World War II began and where Communism ended - "Solidarity"... 2 (in Polish - or how Poles get to know Poland^^) Zakopane - the rocky mountains of the high Tatras, Bieszczady mountains covered with forests, Błędowska Desert - the largest desert in Europe, Mazury - a land of a thousand lakes where you can sail, Pomerania - kayaking, Białowieża Forest - the largest virgin forest region of the European Plain (there are animals here ^^), really a lot of agritourism - or a tourist trip to the countryside and getting to know the countryside (and animals too!), the Baltic Sea from the cliffs, stone and sand beaches to many piers and lighthouses... And of course you can't mix one with the other just as you can't mix Wine with Cider with Beer and Vodka, Poland also has several different cuisines where the noble/hunter's cuisine is based on a wide range of edible mushrooms and fish not only sea but also river and lake fish of Pomerania (in my opinion it is probably unique in Eastern Europe), of course there is also sausage and pierogi, but it is worth paying attention to where you eat because there are e.g. "Milk Bars" which are a remnant of Jewish cultural influences, there are also mountain shelters e.g. in the Tatras which have a separate cuisine

@ghaznavid28 күн бұрын
I also chuckled when he said Finland was Scandinavian. There were a number of factual errors in this video - he talked about the two closest capital cities. Even if one argues Rome and Vatican are the same city and thus don't count for this record, Brazzaville and Kinshasa are 2km apart on opposite sides of the Congo River - so the ones he referenced that are about 100km apart still wouldn't be the closest.

Yey, #7 for my country Romania, not bad! I was surprised you ranked Bulgaria so low though, given how highly rated Serbia, Ukraine and Romania were, because I'd say Bulgaria is so similar to Romania that the only real clue that you crossed the border (aside from the border installations and signage) is the alphabet change on all the street signage and commercials. But then when I saw the video, it makes sense - you were both not feeling well when you went there, and you had a bad experience right off the bat, which is quite unfortunate. Personally, I've always had a great time there - it's possibly my favorite country in Europe other than my own (although I haven't visited all of them, but I did most). Hopefully you'll give it another shot at some point. I'd advice you rent a car (or a bunch of cars for you and your crew) instead of relying on cabs, as they definitely are not that good. Otherwise though - there's a ton of history as it's been at the crossroads of so many major empires (Plovdiv is the oldest city in Europe, for example) ✅, good vibes ✅, the nature is beautiful as the country, although small, has very diverse landscapes (mountains, hills, beach, plains)✅, it's affordable ✅, got a developed tourism industry ✅, there's not obnoxious police everywhere nor the entirely manicured Western European vibe so there's at least for me a bit of the sense of freedom that makes me love Eastern Europe everywhere ✅... it's just all in all a nice place. Oh, also Moldovans, including those in your video, speak Romanian. They also tend to speak Russian, but that's a second language for the majority of the population there.

I love Finland! 🇫🇮 It‘s definitely in my Top 5 of European countries and actually my Number 1 Nordic country! I love Tampere and I love Helsinki. Helsinki is definitely one of the most underrated capitals in Europe. It has really a unique blend with a mixture of Nordic and Russian vibes as well as this weird but very attractive Finnish thing about it. Finns are calm, but one of the friendliest people! The Finnish language sounds like a sublime mixture of Italian and Japanese in my ears and is the most beautiful language in Northern Europe (ok, together with Icelandic and Estonian)… I love Finnish food like Lohikeitto, Leipäjuusto, karjalanpiirakka and mustamakkara (especially the one from Tampere)…. and yes, I could bathe in Mämmi during Easter! One of the most intriguing experiences is to be on the ferryboat between Helsinki and Tallinn and to watch all adult Finnish passengers getting peacefully drunk at 9 o‘clock in the morning, playing bingo or enjoying the sun on the sun deck! Sounds strange but I liked watching this while I soberly was slurping my coffee and devouring my 6th pulla. I really love Finland! Every time I was there something weird, but very nice happened, that I will never forget. Greetings from Germany

In many cases(bakeries and shops for example) you could see that they understood what i said but refused to acknowledge it because i didnt say it in French. Top of the cake were two ticket controllers in Nice who "didnt understand me" when i asked for directions but then 10 minutes later they were capable of perfect english when charging some poor foreign lady because she didnt validate her ticket correctly(and she bought it but of course instructions were only in French so she didnt know that she need to do one step more)

Personally, I nearly rated Bulgaria below Serbia on my list (and Serbia is NOT #2 on mine), but after I left Sofia, my opinion completely changed and I liked Bulgaria a lot more. I absolutely loved Plovdiv and also hiking around Asenovgrad. Pleven was great. People outside of Sofia were much more friendly. I feel like anyone traveling to Bulgaria should only do so if they have time to go beyond Sofia. I was also not living in the best area. Near the train station, boy was it grim.

Drew Binsky goes to Azerbijan and he's bored. Probably not enough cheap beer and night life, two of his 2:08 major determinants. Eli, from Russia, goes to Azerbijan and she has a great time while introducing the viewer to activities and scenery found nowhere else. Perhaps, someday, Binsky will grow up.

When I was in Finland many shops and tourist information said “Scandinavia” when describing the Nordics. It’s kind of like Holland being what people call all of the Netherlands. Not a big deal, just semantics.
@izmolaitela668424 күн бұрын
@@Fluxwux Im from Finland and it probably more just a marketing thing. At the end of the day Scandinavia is more known than the "Nordic Countries", but no one here calls Suomi as we say a part of Scandinavia. Our culture is very different from the scandis aswell.
@Fluxwux24 күн бұрын
@@izmolaitela6684 Yeah that’s true! Same as Dutch people never calling their country just “Holland”. But for the sake of international PR and not to confuse anyone Finland many times just includes itself as “Scandinavian” because that’s just the smarter move, or that Finns on vacation might say “Finland is located in Scandinavia” if someone that don’t know about Finland and wants to know where its located. I’ve seen Dutch people do this too about “Holland”, or Czech people just accepting the term “Czechoslovakia” because that’s the most known name.
@izmolaitela668424 күн бұрын
@@Fluxwux The idea that Finland might refer to itself as part of Scandinavia for the sake of international recognition is a bit of a double-edged sword. While it can make sense in certain contexts, especially when speaking to people who may not be familiar with the specifics of European geography, it overlooks some important historical, cultural, and linguistic distinctions that are key to Finland's identity. In terms of international PR, it may be tempting to categorize Finland as Scandinavian because of the broader cultural and political groupings that include the Nordic countries. However, Finns are often proud of their distinctiveness and may feel uncomfortable with the idea of being lumped into a category that doesn't fully acknowledge their differences. It's a bit like how many people in the United States are quick to refer to "Europe" as a homogenous region, even though it's made up of diverse cultures, languages, and histories. So yeah, while it's understandable from a practical standpoint that people might use simplified terms for ease of communication, it’s important to recognize that these simplifications may not always reflect the nuanced realities of a nation's identity. In Finland’s case, while some might say they’re part of Scandinavia to make things easier, the truth is that Finland stands apart as a unique and proud nation in its own right.

In Croatia, go to Zagorje, an hour from Zagreb. About fifty castles, a multitude of folk tales, an abundance of hills and valleys and excellent local food. Zagorje is like something from Lord of the Rings. Unfortunately, when many tourists come to Croatia, they simply go to Dalmatia or Istria, and I understand that because the sea is there, it attracts tourists, but believe me, Zagorje is a fantasy. You have a man from Great Britain who lives in Croatia, his youtube channel is Paul Bradbary Croatia Expert and he does a great job of promoting that part of Croatia that I mentioned.
