Wished I could do the tier list directly! Well: S: Industrial Doomcore "2010's Spoon-Raw" Millennium (actually 2007 - 2013, I started in 2010 and I can't tell early bangers from early 2000's) Happy mainstyle hardcore (Korsakoff, my favorite mainstream hardcore producer steadily and never disappointing since she made stuff basically + Re-Style and new Rapture people, although it's Korsakoff that carries it in S, otherwise it gets a bit repetitive, like euphoric hardstyle in the 2010's too! Post-millenium (Tha Playah, Nosferatu, Occasional neophyte, Sho--nan, Falchion, 6th, Hellsystem, Gridkiller, RoughSketch, Matsui K, Kortarow, Kanoryo, Militack - Basically I follow Neophyre records, State of Anarchy, Border Town, Gemeinshaft and Login. Today the best millniuem often comes from Gemeinshaft, I'm so glad japan kept the vibe and mixed it with their musical culture and some of these gothic and orchestral elements) Speedcore (if we talk what I listen to, to me the scene has 90% of D, although I get the vibe and emotional attachment to this super cheap and stuck-in-90's sound design, 2% of A and 8% of S that I dug somehow. Of all music, Jensen/Human End is my favorite artist, two ranks above S with no one inbetween.) J-"Style-blend" (basically Kobaryo and Laur alone, not Camellia so much. Also Gram with the symmphonic-psy core that is pretty unique on his style.) Micron's unique "chillcore". The vibe man, absolutely unique! UK hardcore Cubic Nomad's style (he called it "Industrial Technoid", would fit pre-transition [KRTM] and modern Tripped too in another style, which I use(d) to dig a lot too, but two very different ways to make it, and modern Tripped would get a solid B tier.) Digital Hardcore-Terror-Speedcore, especially terror (so yeah, Coakira's style, but they produce too much and too cheap, the bangers tho!) A: Classic hardstyle and 2010's hardstyle (nostalgia I lived and didn't live) Slowcore. Crossbreed (not UKish since S) Skullstep and early Darkstep (Early CV, Coman Dante, 3RDKND, Hidden etc...) Flashcore Rawphoric (Mist was S tier, Thera and some mainstream stuff rocks too, today my No 1 hardstyle Producers are Chapter V) Metal and symphonic influences in whatever (Inbleed, Iridium, Kanoryo, Laur, Kobaryo, Ozigiri) Modern frenchcore (Peacock, Sefa) Downtempo (the vibe so, I wasn't there and it can get a bit boring, but damn he hit something!) Hardtrance (ok... I never listened, but I'll use this to say Thera and Embrionyc are based as hardstyle and hardcore producers influenced by trance and hard trance!) New techno-rave (I don't listen, but it's good !) Uptempo-strial (e-Dub, old Tripped) B: 2010's upcoming euphoric (Cyber, Theo Gobensen: pure softboy zoomer cheese that only Adrenalize got really mainstream consistently that I know of. It was a small subculture within hardstyle different from what people call euphoric. Got bored of it but yeah, that was adorable, to contrast with the opposite brand of autistic stuff I adored, from Dark Descent lol.) X-tra Raw and today's Spoontech (I went from hater to admitting that X-tra Raw was good, and went to listen to some of it through Spoontech fidelity even past the Hardstyle-Mafia-Infiruim-Vazard-Vyral golden Era... so yeah, I admit I love a lot of it but it's "just-pretty-nice".) Darkstep Oldschool/French Frenchcore (Audiogenic, Radium) Terror (the subculture and vibe is A tho, I'm trying to disten to more of Stinger, Dissoactive and Redogre tho) Breakcore and Mashcore, OG breakcore and all weeb stuff from the 2010's, Annoying Ringtone, Odaxelagnia etc... Myosuke's "Harshcore" uptempo, probably the best take on the original genre. C: Early anything (I wasn't there, some stuff gets cult some I get, some I guess you had to have lived this). Post-uptempo and mainstream-uptempo/post-uptempo (Broken Minds for example. post-means past The Dark Horror absence of "kickless-kicks" and mashed kicks, or it's usage around 150 BPMs.) Extratone for the sake of it (can be better if it's a sound-design element, otherwise I do get Cryptokid's stuff for example, but well, doesn't really do it for me. When Jensen kicks over a thousand as part of his grandiose atmospheres... that's beyond music itself!) D: Raw (hated it since day 1, when I was a no-fun-allowed autistic dork with no step back at all.. then I started to like some "less technical/melodic/intellectual" things, including the next brands of raw a little bit, rawstrial kinda and all, but raw itself never cut it, but OG Zatox track, through now would be rawphoric.... and also I love Heady's Doomed! Uptempo (didn't know about early uptempo, to me it's gone from awful to "I get it, I get why, let's not be dicks and let people bang their head empty to the rawest shit, but not for me". Not counting Japanese producers rehashing what the west do into the style blend, Kobaryo and Laur's uptempo is high A tier, but it's 3 "post" levels ahead tho^^) Shranz (never followed the scene but I never heard a single melody in, I'd like your guy I think! The vibe is awesome for like 1 minute and 30 seconds... then gimme another industrial variation please, my ADHD can only bear so much!) Tek/Tribe (Tried for 3 months, not for me) Neuro (same, been into it for 6 months before bored, still a soft-spot for halftime too, but it's no more "hard"... Audeka's "Engine Block" tho... yeah I saw their youtube come-back announcement and I'm really hyped if it goes the hard way!)

@@Mindprinter Imo early 2013-14 raw was really really really bad yeah, at the moment I tried to judge and had no choice to hear the few times I listened to some "normal raw" accientally these years, it seemed to me it did evolve a bit, but it was always uninteresting. I remember I always loved Crypsis and Chain Reaction tho, B-Front was also theorically good never never really listened. I don't like RR at all, never ever did, nor MM really, Adaro alone and G4H stood a bit above tho, still meh. Besides I find hardstyle screeches absolutely uninteresting, scrreching at all means auto-skip 95% of the time in hardcore too in fact, only Tha Playah manages to make it sound good for me, so this explains that. so the raw I like was often defined simply by "is there something else than edgy lyrics and screech anticlimax?", at least until 2015 I feel like 19/20 tracks or so didn't make the cut, then I became less of a but-thurt purist and learned to chill a bit, but I had left hardstyle but Myst, Thera and Spoontech so. I kept getting the Phuture Noize stuff for a year or two, top of the hype, I really really wanted to find it awesome like everyone but I had to admit to myself that I found it "mildly-not-uninteresting compared to the rest", if I felt like going back to hardstyle one of those days, I'd favor Da Tweekaz and NC anyday. Some notable classic-raw stuff I liked were: Answers (the original, nor remix), Het Land Van (super melodic, cheating a bit), Doomed, The Record Breaking and Seven, 2010-12 Crypsis.

Joined through Da Tweekaz (Euphoricstyle) in 2018. Was mostly a casual listener until 2020 where I slowly moved into Rawstyle and XtraRaw because of the Kicks. Only recently fell in love with Millennium Hardcore and early Hardstyle though a friends group who where much older and experienced the beginning days and I'm glad they introduced me to it cause I've really been missing out. Nowadays my main genre is a combination out of Raw and euphoric with heavy Kicks and switch ups but still super powerful melodies. I mostly agree with your list here.

Grindcore isn‘t a Speedcore-Subgenre but rather an extreme and fastpaced Metal/Punk genre. Cybergrind however is a fusion genre between grindcore and electronic music such as speedcore, check out The Berzerker (kinda sounds like ass, but still cool that something like this exists) Also I think you could have featured Happy Hardcore, Doomcore (yeah it‘s pretty niche but worth mentioning) & J-Core, since the japanese scene is really unique. But all in all great video idea. Liebe deine Videos ❤

I summarized some genres in their bigger bubbles and umbrella terms. Like happy hardcore was a big part of early gabber. And modern Happy Hardcore isn't that relevant in the dutch harder styles scene. Maybe in the USA and UK, and some underground events. So i don't mention it. The focus lies here on the main Harder Styles genres you can listen an common festivals. And added some like Speedcore or Hardtekk to make a point here

@Mindprinter like you mentioned, it's not really made for party and dancing, what is absolutely understandable. But there are great artists out there who master the balance between the rough and fast sound with beautiful melody. Especially organic instruments like violins, pianos and stuff like that are often used.its pretty challenging to mix such elements with the harshness and of course the high BpM. For me it's simply a art by itself, that's the reason I love it. But as you say, fortunately tastes are different. And I think it's great

@Colossus823 3 ай бұрын
@Mindprinter Darkcore is separate from industrial hardcore. Although there is some overlap, both the sounds and the atmosphere of the two are totally different. Darkcore has less distorted/mechanical sounds and more horror-themed melodies. Darkcore is probably older than industrial hardcore, as some early hardcore tracks like Dr. Macabre - Danse Macabre can be considered the first darkcore.
@Mindprinter
@Mindprinter 3 ай бұрын
@@Colossus823 There is a big overlap. But if you've watched the history of industrial, darkcore evolved from slower millennium hardcore. Also mixed with industrial. But yeah, this would deserve a video, digging very deep about every hardcore subgenre. Darkcore usually is not played at common festivals, and most Gabbers does not even know it. Especially the younger ones.
@Colossus823
@Colossus823 3 ай бұрын
@Mindprinter That isn't true. It evolved from early gabber simultaneously with millenium hardcore. The first darkcore tracks of Nosferatu, D'Spyre and Endymion were released in 1998. Danse Macabre was also released in 1998. Astral Demons by Marc Acardipana as Rave Creator & The Mover was released as far back as 1994 (wasn't called darkcore then). By 2002, there was the first compilation cd called Darkcore - The Freaky Shit To Poison Your Mind With by MOH. That cd also had the first industrial hardcore tracks like Armageddon Project - Blessed By Kaos. It was pretty fuzzy back then. Anyway, darkcore predates industrial hardcore as a separate genre and is practically as old as millenium hardcore. But you're correct: darkcore has become a nearly dead genre. Every major darkcore producer has left. Some, like The Outside Agency, became crossbreed. Others, like Endymion, became commercial. Maybe there are some remnants here and there. Darkcore is very much from late 90s to early 10s.
@Mindprinter
@Mindprinter 3 ай бұрын
@@Colossus823 The borders are fluent. But could be true mate. I did not digged that much into darkcore. Know the vibe and it's parallels zu industrial. But anyway, this small subgenre isn't common and popular anymore. The vibe has changed to much more mainstream appealing tracks.
