Chicago. No ROT ROT ROT ROTTERDAM!!! Aaaghh CHOOSE ONE haha Have to say I still love happy hardcore though even though I would buy the tapes from the market from the weekends grabber or happy hardcore nights equally then. One of the best albums I heard though Sven Vath An accident in paradise. Fk am I really nearly 50 did Happy Hardcore evolve into EDM softening all the while?

That foolish old man.."it is music of the devil" no people are evil or not. We had such a tight community and we looked after each other. Cinstand checkeng if you drank enough and eat, eventhough you were not hungry...how could that happen 🤔...anyway there was live and understanding and anybody was welcom. That doesn't sound like the work of the devil to me and i'm christian.

Hardstyle could have been mentioned also. It's a more melodic and less childish version of some of the hardcore genres.

Gabber and the "hakken" idiots almost killed hardcore at the end of 90s.

I'm a Dutchie that's quite new to the scene but also not really. When i was much younger like 9 years old i already listened to some of the Thunderdome collection cd's (sadly they weren't mine) butcalso metal and because i learned playing drums. So for some years I've spend my time in the metal scene and would sometimes randomly go to Hard-Techno or Hardcore festivals in between. I did still listen to the music at home besides metal but never really kept up to date. Now over the years I've been growing more and more tired of the metal scene and more and more interested in the Hardcore and Techno scenes. I also feel more at home in these scenes. Also I've alsways liked wearing track/jogging/sweatpants and sneakers instead of metal type cloathing and stuff😂. And i must says i like al the subgenres and both Old-School and New School stuff.

Glad to hear. I see clear similarities between both scene. Both are hard, the distortion on guitars in metal, are the distortion on kicks in Gabber. So the effect of creation a full aggressive sound is similar. Also the people are mostly nice, but even cooked af. Hardcore and Hakken is more like sports, a workout over 8 hours. A metal festival is like a rage cage with moshpits and lots of beers.

Best tutorial bro 😎 Greeting from 🇺🇸, I’m trying to learn it right! 🕺🏼 Many videos I see people out there be jumping with it so great to know it’s really just the adrenaline getting to them. The ferocity of hardcore uptempo with the stillness of Hakkuh is what really makes this dance so beautiful. Side to side movement is okay while maintaining forward/reverse velocity 0 ?

Most of those styles were around by the early 90. Becoming aware of something doesn’t make it new. It’s only new to yourself.

Totally good documentary! Especially with the tracklist and time stamps, super! I am a follower of all hardchore, techno and tek. I enjoyed the early days in the 90s and looked back to the 80s and other genres.. Insane world and I like the hardcore is alive and pushing new limits!

Tracks suits from all styles is wrong bro. Only real gabbers wore the finest garbs of Australian tracks suits. Called ''aussies'' Thats it. Every other garment is fake! Back in the day if you did not wore an aussie you where ''alternative''. That meant you listed to kurt nobrain and ub42 haha

It's funny how commercialized Frenchcore is becoming. It reminds me of the downfall of happy hardcore in the late 90's. Because the pop tracks in the Netherlands became dumber and dumber. Like mosselman and supergabber. It almost killed the whole gabber scene in the Netherlands for a while. Gabbers where laughed about. So Frenchcore better not become to cheesy.
