•I Ranked Every Beatles Album•
For me the greatest band of all time. #thebeatles in only 7 years created the greatest discography of all time, and because of this, making this video was extremely fun for me but also super difficult.
Because their albums are ranked with the greatest ever its hard to say which album goes where, however i tried my best so i hope you enjoy.

Interesting list. Similar to my own but also different in a lot of places: 13. Yellow Submarine 12. With the Beatles - I fully agree with your reasoning here. 11. A Hard Days Night - Controversial I know, but while extremely well polished, it’s short 30 minute runtime doesn’t leave the songs on the track much room to breathe. Still an incredible album though. 10. Beatles for sale - an extremely underrated piece of Beatles discography. I’ll follow the sun is one of my top Beatles songs period. The covers are extremely solid, with the only weak points for me being the Elvis covers. 9. Please please me 8. Help! 7. Let it be 6. Rubber soul 5. Revolver - I see rubber soul and revolver as twin albums, so putting one above the other is really difficult. I put revolver above rubber soul only because it is of more consistent quality in my opinion even if rubber soul has higher highs. 4. Sgt Pepper - While it does drop off a bit in the middle of the album, I still really enjoy all the songs. If SFF and PL were on this it would easily top this list. 3. Magical Mystery Tour - While the 2nd half is singles, in today’s streaming age I go to MMT when I want to hear those songs. With tracks like SFF and I am the walrus I can’t put it below the other albums on this list. 2. White Album - An incredible album. While the quality is very inconsistent, it just has so many incredible songs on it due to its length it has to be in the top 2. 1. Abbey Road - Basically a flawless record. There is basically nothing for me to critique so I can’t put it below any others. Even if it’s not my personal favourite, the quality is so consistently high I have to put it at the top.

I find it difficult to rank them because I prefer the earlier, older mop-head albums, and also because their music changed so much. Matter of fact, I do not like some of the big hits such as Let It Be, Long and Winding Road, Get Back, and especially Hey Jude. I can only take so many na-na-na's. Of course I attach certain memories with different albums. Having said all of that, I think overall, I'd go with Abbey Road for #1. Tomorrow, maybe a different one, lol.

I love your passion and the depth of explanations of your opinions. You are definitely a serious fan. But as one, you need to realize that the group's first album is a barely-listenable amateurish attempt at an album, and their last album is an overproduced mess of bad songs. Once you get past "Please Please Me" and "Let It Be," THEN you can get to "With the Beatles" and "Beatles For Sale". Also, I disagree about using "Please Please Me" as an introduction to the band for a new listener. Your choice there should be "A Hard Day's Night," an exciting album that displays the group perfecting their early sound.

It isn't just young people this decade who were not there when sgt pepper was groundbreaking. Anyone listening to the Beatles for the first time now would be listening - and if they wanted to - studying the history to learn it's value in exactly the same way apart from the format as someone listening in 70's or any other later time. If you were a kid in say 78 listening to the Beatles for the first time you would still have had people tell you or read "this was a groundbreaking album" you'd have to be in your 70's for it to be different. I always find it strange when people say "a millennials reaction" because they're coming to the Beatles after the event like everyone else who was not listening to music in the 60's.
@Luna.reviews
@Luna.reviews 21 күн бұрын
@@Rich-ng3yy Well for me, more than my age is the fact that i was born into a world of digital music shaped by Sgt. Pepper’s. So the groundbreaking factor of the album became the standard that i was born into. So it’s hard to imagine a time where music wasn’t what it is now.
@Rich-ng3yy
@Rich-ng3yy 21 күн бұрын
@@Luna.reviews I see what you mean. I personally and maybe wrongly don't think the experience is too dissimilar from mid 70's on firstly as it really wasn't regarded as contemporary, it was already regarded as Music history so a kid say younger than you would hear it and go "Mum what's this?!" "It's the Beatles!" "Who are they?" ... Then if they loved them even in the 70's they would be learning rather than knowing Sgt Pepper was a big influence and regarded as Art and used an multi track recorder for the first time etc. Then secondly in regards to the digital I have to think about what you said and maybe you're right but I feel it also similar to say someone listening to post punk in the late 70's early 80's or 80's bands or Brit Pop and grunge bands of the 90's and moving into the steaming and digital age, at.any time many bands would cite the Beatles as an influence. The fact that it's just a click away makes a difference but people would still go to shops and be able to listen to back catalogues of the Beatles and hundreds of others... Or maybe I've misunderstood 😊!

Very good, well-founded listing. Of course, we all have different opinions for different reasons, mine being that I grew up with The Beatles (I was 17 when they broke up). You, however, belong to a different generation that can only view their output from a historical perspective. But still, you did a great job! Just one album, however, where our opinions radically differ: 'Let It Be.' 'Let It Be' was easily the worst album the Beatles ever released. In fact, it wasn't even released while The Beatles were still together, but rather after they'd already legally broken up. In fact, The Beatles themselves all disliked the album and refused to allow it to be released. They wanted it to be thrown into the trash. It was only because of greedy managers giving the tapes to Phil Spector to ruin them even more and then releasing the album against the protests of the four former Beatles. At least Paul had the sense to re-produce the whole thing years later and release a non-Phil Spector produced version'Let It Be Naked.' That album is far better, even though it too is substandard to just about any other Beatles album. Let's face it: Only blindsided Beatles fans could deny that the recording is very sloppy and the whole thing is far too over-produced. So, anyway, that's my take. I wouldn't really want to get involved in ranking the remaining albums--they all have their plusses and minuses--but clearly, "Let It Be" is the worst of the whole bunch. They should have re-recorded the few good songs--'The Long and Winding Road,' 'Across the Universe' and 'Let It Be' for the 'Abbey Road' album; they could easily have made room for them by removing the three substandard songs on that album: 'Maxwell's Silver Hammer' (I feel myself in good company despising that song--3/4 of The Beatles hated it too!) 'O Darling' and especially 'Octopus's Garden.'

6:51 It's done that way because The Beatles originally put Magical Mystery Tour together as a double EP including the 6 songs from the movie, the reason the album exists is because EMI gave Capitol Records permission to create another LP in America after Capitol had previously agreed to no longer create any more of their own Beatles albums, because EPs never sold well in the US compared to the UK/Europe. Later when The Beatles discography was released on CD in 1987, George Martin made the decision to release the UK discography with the addition of the album version of Magical Mystery Tour from America, probably so he could make more room on Past Masters. Since then, it's generally been considered offical cannon.

I still think it is worth including as an LP and evaluating because although it can kind of be said that the previous US albums weren't thought of as official this is kind of different as it was a way to include the film/EP songs as a whole for the US market.. so it is kinda not unlike yellow submarine but the other side are added singles for the US rather than a George Martin score.
