birds overrated is crazy, it’s so hated on edit: it’s obv the worst of travs 4 solo studio albums but that’s just because Astro rodeo and utopia are all 8/10 or above. Ik people see it as kinda a rodeo b sides but it’s still really good, I think people start thinking it’s worse than it is bc of how good it’s competition in travs category, similar to mr morale for Kendrick

For me, I haven't totally loved rodeo. Maybe about 3 of my favorite Travis songs are from it but from listening to it fully now, a lot of it I dont really love. Astroworld and Utopia I almost love every song about the same, with there being more highs and maybe one or two lows. Rodeo is 3 for me rn

Out of the ones I’ve heard, 1. Utopia, first travis album I heard and I fuck with this heavily, Hyeana is his best opening track and on telekinesis has a verse from SZA that has me floating everytime. 2. Rodeo, 3rd album I listened to of his and just, wow. Great production, great lyricism and just a great album. 3500 is the best on the album for me kinda because of nostalgia but it also just goes crazy. 90210 and Nightcrawlers are great, but 90210’s first have isn’t nearly as good as the second half. Nightcrawlers is lit tho so can’t complain about that one. Apple pie is a vibe as-well. 3. Astroworld, Sicko Mode has the only good drake verse, nc-17 is a vibe, skeletons is a great song. Imma be honest I only listened to this once a couple months ago so I don’t have much to say. 4. Birds. Its forgettable, I don’t remember most of the songs on it and I listened to it like a week or 2 ago so that says something. Pick up the phone is way too good to be on that album btw.

The “I’m a casual rap listener” list. The list should be: 1. Rodeo (10/10) (self explanatory) 2. Utopia (8.5/10) (Kpop grew on me and the Beyoncé cut just isn’t it, imo. This number could peak at 9 by a year or so from now) Insert creative and quality gap. Below are 5/10 to 7.5/10 3. Astroworld (7.5/10)(inconsistent record but still great, falls off in the back end, still love it, last 3 songs end it strong) 4. DBR (7/10) (Trap mixtape CLASSIC. Honestly depending on the listener can pass as an 8/10 but I’ll meet somewhere in the middle for y’all) Insert another gap here for quality: below are 5/10 and under 5. Birds (cult classic but too damn generic, goodness.)(5/10) 6. Jackboys (gatti, out west, and what to do? are amazing songs, rest is mid) (4/10) 7. Owl Pharaoh (although early in his discography, there’s great ideas here, poorly executed and quality didn’t show up until his second mixtape)(3/10) 8. Huncho Jack (1/10) (one or two decent bangers on this album, besides that, great ideas , but this is just bad, yikes, not good)
