My ranking, FYI there is no bad book. 5) Blood of Olympus Personally, I only really liked it because of Nico and Reyna. 4) Lost Hero I think there wasn't anything bad about, but also nothing fantastic. I really liked the charachters tho. 3) Son of Neptune Big jump here, there was just a lot of humor and also after not seeing Percy for an entire book, it was really nice. 2) Mark of Athena Terrible but absolutely amazing cliffhanger! Lots of just key moments that are memes to the Percy Jackson community(Jason gets hit by brick, Percabeth in stable, etc.). 1) House of Hades What can I say? YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

The Heroes of Olympus is for sure the best series I’ve ever read. The characters, story, camaraderie, tension, etc, is all by far the best in the Riordanverse. That being said… here’s my list 5 - Mark of Athena - I don’t really know why it’s my least favorite, but for me it’s the least memorable out of the 5, apart from the ending 4 - Son of Neptune - I really, really love this one but the others are too good lol 3 - Blood of Olympus - I loved the Nico, Reyna, and Hedge storyline, and the book overall was fantastic, but I wanst too impressed with the final battle 2 - The Lost Hero - Surprisingly, this is my 2nd fav! For me it’s pretty nostalgic, and it has a great vibe. Leo and Jason are also two of my favorite characters so there’s that 1 - The House of Hades - The Percy and Annabeth storyline, as well as the 4 chapters of Leo on Ogygia are some of my favorite chapters of all time.

EVERYONE gets to shine and has character development. Moreover we have the last Percy's pov and considering what Rick once said, that he will no longer be a book protagonist... well, it just add to the perfect magnificence of this book!

1. House of Hades: Literally my favorite book of all time. It's just perfect in every way. 2. Mark of Athena: W book, loved it, one of two times i felt edge of my seat the entire book (other was house of hades) don't remember super well but what i do remember is gold 3. The Lost hero: Slept on book, read it more times than any other cuz i like starting book series and not finishing them, basically tied with Son of Neptune 3. Son of Neptune: I only put it one below cuz I preferred the feeling of reading the first book the first time, other than that its just as good. 5. Blood of Olympus: Spoiler free, otherwise i'd say some things lmao. still amazing tho, but not as good as PJO finale. nothing is.

5-The Lost Hero: I find this book enjoyable but pretty forgettable. Best part is obviously Leo, who unfortunately gets the shortest chapters, but Jason was also an interesting protagonist. I feel like all the hate for Piper comes from this book cuz in it she’s just simping for Jason half of the time. 4-Mark Of Athena: I really do love this book whole heartedly but I just love the others more lol. 3-Blood Of Olympus-An amazing ending to an amazing series, really don’t get the hate for it. 2-Son Of Neptune-This book is absolutely fantastic. The characters are likeable, the new setting of Camp Jupiter and the existence of Roman demigods are just so cool. 1-House Of Hades:Might be my favourite book of Rick’s. It’s just perfect in every way.

1.) "Mark Of Athena." All the characters coming together (Percabeth reunion!) and figuring out their dynamics (Leo, Hazel, Frank.) Plus the ending just... cliffFALLER. Also, it was the first Riordan book I had to wait for, so I think that's why it's so special to me. 2.) "Blood of Olympus." Really enjoyed Reyna and Nico's perspective. The pacing seemed quickened too, like, we don't need to talk about characters returning to the ship, we'll just start off on another quest. 3.) "House of Hades" because the journey through Hell. Plus Nico coming out was so wonderful to see. 4.) "Son of Neptune." Because it relived the build up of Percy being missing, plus the setting was super cool. Frank I feel falls kind of short in terms of being super interesting (he got hardly any voice, comparatively, throughout the whole Hoo series.) 5.) "The Lost Hero." I liked the three person perspective, but Jason comes off as quite bland in this book, since he can't remember much (where as with Percy, there is dramatic irony because the audience knows his past). Piper isn't the most interesting either, though I like her and her perspective. She's very Jason crazy, who again just isn't the most compelling character.

5. Lost Hero - Introduced some good charaters, but the story was just ok. definitely an important first book but just didnt enjoy as much as the others 4. Son of Neptune - Really debated putting this above blood of olympus cuz i loved it that much because its just that cool. Finally seeing Percy from other people's perspective was cool and it introduced two of my favorite characters. Also Camp Jupiter is cool and the worldbuilding in this book really shines. 3. Blood of Olympus - The culmination of all the books every time i see the line "‘Come on, then!’she yelled. ‘I’ll destroy you all myself if I have to!’ A metallic smell of storm filled the air. All the hairs on Piper’s arms stood up. ‘The thing is,’said a voice from above, ‘you don’t have to.’" it always gives me chills. the fight against the giants was cool but i do understand the book felt kinda rushed. I personally wish they didnt make leo end up with calypso but its whatever. 2. House of Hades - Probably a fan favorite the story in tartarus was just so good rick was really in his bag making this one. the storyline with bob and damasen was sad but good. Gives some interesting and really cool scenes with Percy and Annabeth in the underworld. Also seeing Hazel and Frank getting more character development was cool. 1. Mark of Athena - My personal favorite. After reading the first two books and waiting 2 years for the gang to get together we finally see all the 7 in one place. Seeing how they initially react together, Jason vs Percy, Hazel Frank and Leo its just so cool. Has my favorite scene in it where Annabeth drops the knife in the water This is easily one of my favorite series of all time and none of these are close to bad

Tbh I don't care about the Percy Jackson series as much as I care about the potential of getting a adaptation of Heroes of Olympus once the cast grows up. The multiple perspectives of Blood of Olympus can only be told in a series, impossible for a Movie to do. But the (spoiler alert...) ... the Nico scene still gives me chills and Percy controlling acid made us realise that the quests and suffering of literal hell could very easily make him go the Villian route if not for Annabeth. But seriously imagining those scenes with high budget Disney production hypes me up a lot. Fingers crossed for a Heroes of Olympus adaptation.

Mine is Son of Neptune(I adore Frank and Hazel with every fibre of my being and i love the plot) Blood of Olympus(Reyna Avila Ramírez-Arellano lore. Thats it) Mark of Athena(Leo angst but with Hazel!) House of Hades(I skip the scenes, i think their boring. Dont @ me. But again, Frank, Leo and Hazel stuff) Lost Hero(Love it, would defend with my life but I prefer the others, also, i dont particularly love Jason and Piper. I dont hate them but i prefer other characters) Favourite characters check! Frank, Hazel, Leo and Reyna in HoO. Add in Clarisse and you got my top five.

I love all the books, but my ranking would probably be this: 5: The Lost Hero -I love all the characters and the plot is interesting, it was just less memorable for me and it was hard to get attached to all these brand new characters when I was still on a kind of PJO series high and wanted to know what was going on with the og characters like Annabeth and Percy and stuff 4: Blood of Olympus - I do love this book, but I guess I was just really looking forward to the final battle and I was a little underwhelmed 3: Son of Neptune- I loved seeing Percy again and battling with his little problem. I fell in love with Frank, Hazel, Reyna, and ALMOST all (cough octavian cough) the characters introduced in that book. It was also a really interesting plot line. 2: House of Hades- I loved the whole Percy and Annabeth narrative, as well as the rest of the argo crew's journey. I also loved getting to know Nico a bit more. Really the only reason this book isn't number one is because my absolute favorite part of this series was watching all the 7 interact. 1: Mark of Athena- I absolutely loved everything about this book from the plot the characters just all of it. Like I said before my favorite part of the series is the 7 interacting which is kind of one of the main focuses of this book.

One of the best things about the series is its told in 3rd person perspectives, EVERYONE gets a chance to tell their story. The connection between Hazel, Sammy and Leo is heartfelt but if things hadn't happen that way, would the Potty Queen had won. This is a very unique experience and a very jarring rain especially because it took me ages to find anything after The Lost hero so like it took me years before I found the next book and then the narrator switched halfway through so book 4 and 5 have a different narrator than the first three and none of a narrator are the Percy Jackson guy Jesse Bernstein so Percy doesn't sound like Percy

5: Son of Neptune - I feel like it lacked that special spark. It was good, but i think Percy never had great chemistry with Frank and Hazel. 4: Mark of Athena - Good, just not perfect. I like seeing the characters play off each other, but I feel like Leo was forgiven to easy, and not forgiven fast enough at the same time. As a viewer, I knew to trust him, but if i was a character, I wouldn’t have trusted him. Also the last scenes are a masterpiece. 3: Blood of Olympus - Really good, like seeing the characters fleshed out. The Nico, Reyna, and coach Hedge plot is enjoyable. The fight is just kind of anticlimactic, and Octavian deserved worst. 2: House of Hades - Perfect in every way. The characters are fleshed out, the whole Percy and Annabeth plot line, Leo and Calypso, you couldn’t go wrong with this book. 1: Lost Hero - I will always remember the day I found out this series existed. I read the PJO series at 8 years old and loved it. To find out there was a sequel was special. I read the entire series in a week, but I feel like no book topped the first one. The characters, Leo, the action, Leo, and the new ideas presented in this book, made it the best in my eyes.

Not sure about my ranking and while I can't for sure talk about my original reaction uhmm cause some people have memory issues ik they're all great books leave the flaws, and my opinion on them keeps changing even as i explore the thoughts of other people. My list SPOILERS 5. The Lost Hero; A great book and starting point to the series, I like the introduction of the Giants as core villains, and how the end of it hints at the true purpose of the story. 4. Mark of Athena; Having Annabeth’s perspective in a PJ book for the first time was really amazing, and her going through her own troubles being on full display is truly awesome. 3. Blood of Olympus; An incredible ending to an incredible series, the end battle is astounding and truly intense. Leo finding Calypso on her island, and allowing her to escape, hinting that there is more to come, makes it a perfect wrap up for the series. 2. The Son of Neptune; While it really like both books, in my opinion, Percy’s memory loss is handled so much better that Jason’s. Percy having flashbacks and dreams about Tyson, Grover, and Annabeth makes me so happy. Frank and Hazel are also very good editions to the series, and they both have incredible stories and arcs. 1. The House of Hades; My favorite book of all time. The concept, and execution, is absolutely perfect. Percy and Annabeth’s journey through Tartarus is incredible, the edition of the brain washed Titan Iapetus as bob is such wholesome and amazing character. Nico joining the crew of the Argo on their Journey to save their friends and seal the doors of death on time, as well as Leo having his own story with him a Calypso, and how natural the formation of their romance is. This Book is incredible and does so much correctly. 10/10

I got some hot takes here, prepare yourself: 5-The Lost Hero: This book kinda sucks. The quest is boring and forgettable, and the only interesting POV character here is also. I never liked Jason much because of his lack of distinct personality traits and have always despised Piper because of her “not like other girls” mentality and hypocritical actions. I also don’t like how they take down two Giants at the end of this one, including the one who’s supposed to be the most powerful of all of them and able to fight Zeus/Jupiter. I also don’t like what they do with Jason and Thalia’s backstory. It feels weirdly forced just so Jason can be a child of Jupiter, and never really comes up a lot in future. 4-The Blood of Olympus: Compared to the epic and emotional finale to the PJO series that was The Last Olympian, this book is a joke. The final battle is rushed and completely unearned, Leo coming back to life was a total cop-out, and the fact that Frank and Hazel get zero POVS but Reyna and Nico do really rubs me the wrong way. And Reyna and Nico’s chapters weren’t even interesting or fun, I was just bored the entire quest back to Camp Half-Blood. The way they killed Gaea was really lame and tbh Gaea was never a very compelling antagonist when compared to Luke in PJO. 3-The Son of Neptune: This one is fine…I guess. I like Frank as a character and it was real nice to hear from Percy again after his absence in The Lost Hero, but jeez Hazel is one of the most nothing characters I’ve ever read. Besides her convoluted backstory she has no interesting traits or quirks that make her fun to read, and it doesn’t help that she gets no POVS in The Blood of Olympus. Beyond that, I don’t love the way Camp Jupiter is presented and I think way too much of the story in this takes place there. The quest is kinda fun but mostly forgettable. 2-The House of Hades: Really nice to finally get POVs from every main character. Makes me wonder why Riordan didn’t decide to do the same thing in The Blood of Olympus. I didn’t love Leo and Calypso’s romance and like a lot of people I kinda wished they were just great friends. Cupid outing Nico in front of Jason was honestly kinda gross, and I found most of Percy and Annabeth’s chapters in Tartarus really boring and a slog to get through. I really liked Frank in this book, and out of all the books, Jason and Piper annoyed me the least here. 1-Mark of Athena: Honestly my top spot is a toss-up between these last two books, but I think this one wins. It has the most interesting quest and the ending is really satisfying as well as filled with drama and stakes, and I absolutely loved hearing Annabeth get to tell the story for the first time. You can argue with me if you want, but this is just my opinion. I do actually like this series, even though I don’t think it’s particularly well-written.

The lost hero I love leo but it was kinda confusing and I was still sad over perce so yea 3. The blood of Olympus I liked it because of the nico and Reyna kinda thing and also Leo’s sacrifice 2. House if hades because Leo finally gets a girl and so that’s self explanatory 1.
