Last week I asked the Mashers in the community to send me what THEY think are the best combos, clips, and moments they pulled off in Smash Ultimate. And in true Marss fashion...I roasted them as much as I could.

the dk clip is so funny because his teammate had to hit his partner TWICE to make that happen

And it makes sense why he’d do that too, first he wants to attack the guy charging DK punch and hit his mate who is shield broken so he DAs them both, then he realizes his mate is going to get spiked so he does a tilt in his direction to try and save him which sends the poor DK into the other spike

So, let's breakdown that first clip because we need to understand what's exactly going on. P3 DK just had his shield broken and P2 DK is charging Neutral B to smack his shit in, but P1 DK dash attacks to save his teammate. HOWEVER, P4 DK seizes the moment by D-Airing P3 afterwards. So P1 F-Tilts to try and save his teammate again. BUT THEN, P2 (who got launched off-stage thanks to P1) takes the opportunity to then Banana Slamma P3 and succeeds!! In short, P1 was trying to save his teammate after P3's shield was broken, but he ended up making things worse instead!

As a Byleth player, the only insane byleth combos solely rely on bad DI. With bad DI, 90% of the roster can probably die at 0 🤣

That being said I don't wanna sound like I'm hating on the players clip. More so it's on his team to find better clips from characters. All love and respect for my fellow smashers.

I was gonna defend Green DK saying the dash attack had to happen to help his teammate escape the shield break, and that without the forward tilt his teammate was still gonna die to that down air… …until I noticed that Green DK BASICALLY CAUSED THE SHIELD BREAK TOO

For the ganon ness clip, ganon shouldn't have armor there, I'm confused because warlock punch doesn't have armor if it starts in the air.

A little subjectivity here, but I believe it's because he landed shortly after starting the move. The super armor frames are 21-75 for the reverse variation. Another example is Mac's KO punch; we all know it's garbage in the air, but if you do it close enough to the ground, it still carries the same power it would from grounded state. If I can get my Switch back soon, I'll actually test it.
