In the Polish performance, the moment when the dancers bump into Ochman was an element of the choreography. The dancers are demons symbolizing the hardships of life and attacked Krystian. This song has tremendous symbolism. I also don't agree that Krystian doesn't feel this song. He wrote it himself and each of his performances is always full of emotions :) best regards!

I’m so proud of Brooke. She grew so much and in the end arguably deserved a qualification over some of the others but well done to everyone that qualified. It’s a shame we got so many ballads in this final and lost quite a few of the great bops. The second half of the grand final is just filled with slow songs again like 2015 was. All great songs, but we could have lost a few of them to make the final more entertaining

Israel had so many Eurovision drama in the last weeks, I did not surprise his NQ, I also liked the performance of Andrea, but the song was weak. Romania & Estonia are good surprises where Belgium & Finland not. I mean I love the Rasmus but his voice is so dead. Also Belgium hit no note that he did in the music video just like Cyprus which make me think that they both played very much on their vocals in the video because the fact is otherwise.

So strong semi final, and my favorites here are so many. Some unfortunately must go, and fortunately it doesn't mean that they were not good enough, to be really good songs. Some of these I enjoyed the most, was from Georgia, Cyprus and Ireland. Romania surprised me a lot. And I believe it was qualified instantly, and this is all about achieving a good performance with the audience included. This semi is among the best semi finals ever, if not the best.

I wrote this on Luke’s channel but here’s my initial reaction to all of the qualifiers: Belgium: WTF? The staging was meh. Czech Republic: Good Azerbaijan: Not my favorite but not surprised Poland: Good but those effects are tacky Finland: I guess there’s room for a rock song Estonia: Good and I hope it closes the show (it is closing the Final) Australia: Good. It came alive today. Sweden: never a doubt but I feel it lost its intimacy Romania: Spanish fans got this through! Serbia: Phew!!! I’m still waiting for the secret to Meghan Markle’s hair! The only one I’m sad for is San Marino but it’ll leave in Eurovision infamy for years to come.

You’re not the only one, my top 10 is made up of just one semi 2 song (Serbia) and the rest are either from the big 5 or semifinal 1. Semi 2 was full of songs that I found pleasant, most of my least favourite songs, and a couple or two that I was rooting for, out of which only Konstrakta qualified. As a show though, I have to agree that this semifinal was generally more visually spectacular

I dunno, I felt this semi-finals was underwhelming compared to the first one. There were some good songs, but I found myself forgetting them almost as soon as I heard them for the most part. I had to pay attention to the recap to make my top 10 (and for the most part I couldn't even order them) and I did guess 8 of the 10 that got through. Overall I felt the songs in the first semi-finals made more of an impression on me. My favourite, North Macedonia did not make it through, while the entry I didn't like at all (Serbia) did. So go figure... Come tonight, I think Portugal will remain my favourite this year, and the overall top 6 list I had from the first semi-finals will probably remain mostly unchanged. Perhaps France will make it on there somewhere, that one looked promising to me. I have deliberately stayed unspoiled before this week, I hadn't even heard my own country's entry until I heard it in the semis (Norway - currently it's number 5 on my own list) lol

I would say Sweden doesn't necessarily have good songs (or bad songs), but their performances are made well, they are good enough to push to the finale. But aside Euphoria, Undo and Hold Me Closer, I don't really think the songs or singing was good enough to be in top 5, like Jury loves to put them.

Tbh I thought Poland would make a better staging. I was hoping we will finally show Europe something classy and great. Well, that didn't go well. The staging was cheesy. It's like they had so many ideas, but instead of selecting the best ones, they decided to do little bit of everything. And all that it did was to to drag the attention from the song itself instead of just creating a right vibe for it. Also Krystian's outfit didn't suit the story they were trying to tell with this performance. I no longer believe we have a chance to win. All we have now is Krystian's incredible voice and a quite good song. So disappointed because I think there was so much potential.
