Keep in mind, that having dark seal doesn't guarantee you keep the stacks and the gold value is only better than what the sion is getting if you upgrade toi mejai's. Lethality sion is very good at getting kills from the grave, and tank sion is nigh unkillable.

@@kababmichips1767 and what be forced to rush mejais? and when enemy dies with mejais loses half the stacks? as much as you want to shit on his strat saying "AP champs and mejai exists" you can't because if you blunder once you lose a shit ton of value in that item alone + you give shut down if anything to take away is that you should play champs which can perma benefit off of his death; nasus for example can get 24 stacks on single sion death if timed properly which for 10 deaths gives you 240 stacks and knowing sion players go easily into 20 death range this could be alone 480 stacks + stacks from everywhere else which can easily be 400 into full blown mid game so you now have nasus whose value cannot be matched because you can fit only 6 items which need to cover criteria so you don't get rolled while nasus can over time switch from semi offensive build into a DS tank build and still do crazy damage because he heavily relies on Q damage and E % pen shred if anything this strat is easily countered with nasus but nasus is in such a fucked state that you can basically say you cannot really counter this unless your team's macro works like a swiss clock or riot decides to buff nasus since they shat on DS while triforce sucks on nasus and IBG is last resort and only works into full AD comp

Chovy is farming so well only because he has the best mechanics in the world. You are able to play to the level that Your enemy allows You. False statement: There's always room for improvement. Beating a pro player once or twice on the surface is an accolade. But in reality Low ELO, High ELO, and professional league are three entirely different games that share the same appearance but are vastly different in practice. Put simply; A pro player can play in Bronze or even Challenger and easily not do well simply because their mindset and play styles have adapted to an entirely different gameplay format of teamwork and play style.

Yes the thing about his playstyle if you watch his gameplay is that it throws opponents off so much that even high elo players that usually have good laning phases all of a sudden have relatively bad CS and barely got access to his tower if at all, all the while he sits at 9/10 cs/min and got plating gold. That is often enough to have more gold than the opponent while also having a negative or neutral bounty, while the opponent not only is losing gold-wise but often also has a bounty on his head so he'll also feed your team more when he eventually dies... It's honestly such a smart approach to the game (especially the "mismatching tempo" laning phase strat, it's so 5head) I've always loved watching him because of this.

Small update for y’all So I just had a game I went 0/4 pre 14mins My mid lane finished game 13-0 I had 3k more gold then him by the end of the game I noticed the games I perform terribly are the ones where I play to passive and are scared to die, dying at level 3 is so important, it basically creates the mismatch tempo for you everytime and allows you to proxy However so far I struggle terribly against extremely mobile champs Kennen has been a complete disaster everytime I play against him

he's got an extremely unique approach to a process we think we've got figured out. the basis of his strategies here are that you can shove waves very fast and farm after you die with sion, and you get very little bounty for towers, nothing for plates, and nothing for minions. there's also the sion R. it's a cheese strategy and it will probably be phased out. he's a good enough player to maintain challenger on other champions but IIRC he was rank 1 with sion and i cannot see him getting to rank 1 without him and some of these rules which make this a viable strategy.

11:51 What he's talking about is being proactive and trying to create advantages with your team instead of just sitting in a lane, where your team isn't going to gank for you because enemy lane has gold lead, and you can't farm because they're strong enough to tower dive. League of Legends games are like cement, they're very malleable at first, but as time goes on and it dries out, it's very much a product of how you set it up to start. If you're in a bad spot, get out of it asap, because the odds of being able to just sit and farm it out for 35 minutes are pretty low.

Also even if you could if youre 0-3 against your opponent in lane even if you farm even with him (and you will not cause he will abuse his lead if he is on your level of skill) you re still down the same 800 gold. the only way to get even would be to farm 40 cs more than your opponent whih is 3 kills ahead and even skill level...so it is...almost impossible.

i like the guide, but he forgot to mention one crucial thing: if you play for the lategame, you absolutely have to be good at the champion you are playing mechanically, if you hoard a lot of gold, while giving your lane opponents free gold, you absolutely have to perform better than them lategame, thats the biggest issue with baus playstyle, thats why a lot of people who copy him are just plain inting, regardless if they execute his strategy well or not, hoarding a lot of gold while feeding is still really bad for objective bounties, you want to funnel as much gold as possible on the best player on the team, not the worst one, doing this hurts your team big time and at that point it would actually be better to just let them carry you. his lane phase is basically this: "here is a 10/0 jax, i have more gold than him, but you dont, have fun guys"

Well the point tho is that the "10/0" isn't a "normal" 10/0 per say due to the bounty system and how he manipulates it. Through h is strategy the idea is that the opponent is gonna be behind in CS and tower platings and since he stacks up a negative bounty on himself he's worth very little overall. Also, him being good at making use of that lead is what makes him reach challenger paired with the strategy, but that is true for any playstyle isn't it? For example lets say your jungler ganks your lane early and you burn enemy flash so he camps your lane and you get fed. You now have the advantage but that also means resources have been invested into creating your lead, resources that the enemy team put somewhere else and that means your team is at a disadvantage somewhere else. So it's on you then to push that lead and make it worth it for your team, if you aren't able to the enemy "strong side" will have gotten the advantage without consequences... see the point? Hopefully I made myself clear xD Also, another thing you aren't considering that ties into this is that he almost always does all of what he does playing weak side and having little to no resources invested into him. That means, while he's doing his thing and getting an advantage over his lane opponent, his team is able to allocate resources elsewhere on the map and gain leads there at the same time. At least that's the idea, of course all of this is assuming people play correctly but again that goes for any kind of strategy.

The point about playing safe has 2 parts that are important to consider: 1) If you are 0-5 what he is saying is true... push for minions, try to get towers, and start winning fights for your team mates 2) If you are 0-1 or 0-2 try not to feed more and play safe if your team is playing well (avoid main character syndrome and try to enable your team to carry) The worst case scenario is that you go 0-5 stay under turret, get dove, get plates farmed, and then you don't try to contribute in any way and basically become AFK. You'd be better off as a top laner at that point going to a lane that the enemy top is not at and trying to split push down towers (you are getting farm and applying pressure... if you die oh well you were worth little more than a cannon but applied pressure while getting gold yourself) I'd also say this applies more for top laners than other roles.

But with the way gold value works, if you're already "losing" lane, aka you're like 0-2, then you should play more aggressively and try to die more to gain advantages, because by dying more you're worth LESS gold, which means every time they waste time killing you again, they lose value. You should play as aggressively as possible pre-lvl 7 to take advantage of the death time and lower your gold value, unless you end up winning fights instead and then you become a hyper carry anyway. With his strat, whether you get a ton of kills or "int", you still gain the advantage regardless.

nah I think it applies to a lot of champions, if you are Samira and you go 0/4 you are never going to get back into the game unless you find that good team fight R, the rank 1 samira goes to EVERY team fight even if he goes 0/5 and plays it like hes got kill power till he strikes a comeback. If there is a reliable way to scale up and catch up you should take that first for sure but if not and you are behind use it for what it is, the other day I had a warwick jungle who was inting hard but he still kept himself useful by protecting our adc or setting up for others even if he died for the play. It worked and paid off, Warwick didn't get fed and only died more but it didn't matter as he clearly understood that his best value was support a win con already on the team.

I don't agree with the "don't buy these items", specifically some of the consumables. The math isn't that straight forward and the only variable in the equation isn't just gold, directly. the ability to win small skirmishes and therefore be able to bully the opponent and deny him/her gold as a result of that, because of the margin of an early 150 gold invested, has the potential to disproportionately create gold leads. If you create a 300 gold lead and are able to buy a pink to circumvent being ganked the value of the ward isn't -75 or zero sum, it can literally be 500+ gold (gold shut down denied, cs hostage, etc.) , not to mention the pressure you create across the map, say river prio for herald, etc. This holds especially true in higher elos, where vision and small leads can mean the difference between winning or losing the early game.

For example Nemesis also doesn't buy pink wards early game most of the times, but of course it requires good knowledge and awareness to not have to rely on visual confirmation to know what the enemy team is likely doing. I think the real problem is the team aspect of the game, and that's it. The game was made to show off various aspects of a team game. When you play the way he does, he MIGHT get pressure around the map, but it comes at the cost of giving up gold to what could be an enemy carry over and over. Which is why so many of his game if you take even a quick look at his history are HIGH kill games and the gold graph coin-flips like 5 times. This is because instead of creating pressure by being a strong carry champ he gets leads by giving up gold and then forcing his team to win certain critical fights with no help.

The death timers is 100% something i never knew but will abuse. As a yas main i typically go to hit level 6 a few minions before my oppnent and try to kill them immediately while they are 5 and im 6. But now ima try letting them hit 6 then instantly jumping on them to use the death timer trick

level 6 is fine. It's from leveling up to 7 is when you get an additional 5 seconds on your death timer (with level 8 giving an _additional_ 7 seconds).
