My mom and I are roadtripping next year so I'm adding Blue Sisters to our audiobook tbr! My favorite read of November was The Third Gilmore, which is a memoir by the actress who plays Emily Gilmore on Gilmore Girls.

100% relate to being the older sister and feeling like you need to protect them. I want to read Blue Sisters, I don't read much literary fiction but I do think it could be a book that I could relate to well. I hope December is better for you 🫂

i heard someone say not another love song was actually written first so MAYBE that’s why? i read over 50 things this month because i was disassociating after that election. my favorite was ‘the princess and the grilled cheese sandwich.’ it’s a delightful sapphic graphic novel. highly recommend!
@Ivey_reads_and_writesАй бұрын
I love that graphic novel! And right there with you re: election dissociation. The entire week after the results, I deep dived into fanfiction

Blue Sisters sound so interesting. I definitely need to pick that one up. I hope the rest of the year gets better for you. I think you should get a kitten once you’re ready for another pet. I lost my cat around October of last year so I know exactly how sad and depressing it can feel to lose them. Especially when you’re the one home the most and spend the most time with him. Sending you love and praying for you to get to feeling better soon.

I don't feel like you understood Fight Club. The author is definitely not a dude bro, he's gay. The book is about how toxic masculinity is ruining men. And some of the characters aren't real, obviously Tyler, but maybe also Darla and Bob.

The knock knock book u describes is exactly the subject of a series called channel zero. The first season involves a kids show called candle cove that no one remembers in the same way. It’s completely creepy and if u get a chance to watch it I highly recommend it.

November was the worst reading month for me. I pushed through two of the worst books. The God of the Woods was long and boring. I hoped that the payoff would have been worth it but it wasn’t. I also read The Lost Story and found it a little boring as well. I normal read anywhere from four to seven books but not this month.

I read atleast 1 book or manga a day in November 😁 14 Novels and 16 manga volumes! I didn’t have a 5 star sadly but Dead of Winter by Darcy Coates was a 4.5 star!😁

I read 8 books in November and had three dnfs n read two Mangas The dnfs I had were 1.The alice network by Kate Quinn this one felt flat for mi and it felt like half the book the female main character was just sleeping with guys and I didn't like how she kept calling her unborn child little problem every other page n paragraph it was annoying 2. Lights out by navessa Allen this one was too light for mi I felt like the trigger warnings were too light for my taste, n I just didn't care about any of the characters like I was bored half the time reading it felt like chore 3. Heartless hunter Kristen ciccarelli this one I didn't care about the characters at all Here are my other reads 4. Iron flame this one was a reread before the third book comes out next year 5. Wild eyes by elsie sliver loved this one the banter was funny and the audiobook was fantastic 6. How my neighbor stole Christmas I loved this one it's a grinch retell whichi love the grinch n the banter with one funny n also I will never n I mean never look at a candy cane the same again Mangas I read 7. Spy family vol.3 8. The summer Hikaru died vol 3

Fight Club is the first book I ever rated 1 star. I then read and rated a few more of his books 1 star. Then I mentally just rated Chuck P. a 1 star human being. All his books are violently misogynistic and cocky and just a waste of the trees they were printed on. I've never rated any other book 1 star since, so... they really are just that bad. To be fair, I feel certain Sarah Huckabee Sanders' book is a 1 star, so he's probably not alone in just being a jerk with a publisher.

I have not read fight club but I hear the Chuck is a gay man and the reason it’s very dude, bro is because the theme is him calling out toxic masculinity and how it effects men in society
