he didn't just "trick her". See this moment was actually very important for both Denji and Makima. Denji always new in the back of his head that Makima was never truly interested in him but really it was Pochita all along so he purposely let Pochita control the body in order to fight Makima. Makima had all these misconceptions of who CSM was, saying that he doesn't speak, spit, or wear clothing and that every action he should take should be chaotic. Denji literally flipped her entire world view upside down She actually thought she understood Pochita but in reality he did everything that she thought he would never do. The entire time she's been wondering throughout the series why Chainsaw Man chose Denji even though he didn't "understand" a thing about him. The fact that her false perception of Pochita ended up being her downfall was truly ironic and fitting for her demise

Power was always intended to have Peach/Blonde hair. The author just always tinted it slightly pink on his cover volumes to match the pop art aesthetic all his volumes have. But I will say the community was split for the longest time over her hair color lol

Been following it since the manga first started serializing, and I will say, reading weekly Vs binge reading the story is very different lol. The deaths, the fights, the huge WTF moments, you really had time to sit with them 😭 I highly recommend rereading and taking it a bit slower this time. There’s a lotta details that you probably missed, I still find myself picking up on new things every time I go back. Love this series

This video is multiple different types of unhinged, and I'm here for it. This was such a fun video idea and it was super well-executed. You start with a lot of more varied and interesting shots, but as it goes, you get more immersed in the series and the shots get tamer and less varied. The more you are immersed, the more we are immersed in the video and the varied shots become less necessary. I don't think that was on purpose, but I wouldn't put it past you. Regardless, another great video.

Amazing gut reactions! I ended up reading it all in one go too but yeah, it all hit me pretty hard. Heres some fun thoughts to add to the conversation. -No ones mentioned it, and I am positive you figured it out later, but yeah Angel is actually a guy. Still very pretty and tragic. -The author loves Movies! You pointed out Sharknado, but there is a lot in there. One of my absolute favorite chapters was when Denji and Makima went on that night of watching movie after movie. Its really sweet thats the thing Pochita uses to see if Makima cared about Denji at all in the final fight. -Also, the movie that Makima and Denji both cried at inexplicably? The scene we see is just two people hugging. Also in the first chapter, the first thing Makima does is hug Chainsaw man. I love that for a lot of reasons, but also I love that Pochitas dream was to be hugged, but he couldnt cause hes a chainsaw and was too strong and would kill anyone he got close to. That legit makes me cry everytime i think about it. Its disarming in how silly it is. -The Gun Devil's powers, I love how they are described. If you notice, his power to "shoot everyone born in X month" doesn't include every month! It gives the idea that in response to the gun devil, the best and brightest of the world would have to come together and pour over all the data of everyone who would die, and find some commonality. And the only thing they could find, was that a few months didn't have deaths, correlating to date of birth.

Do a 2nd read through but take your time. And getting your thoughts on the foreshadowing and everything you noticed the 2nd time would be great. For me after I read chainsaw man I legitimately felt empty like I lost a friend, and was genuinely upset that I wouldn't see aki or power again in the story. Now I push everyone to read it so they can experience painsaw man like I did.

Yeah I binged the entire manga on my phone in a day or so and I came away thinking "Really? That was it? I kind of expected more due to its reputation". A bit later when I'd gotten a cheap tablet to read manga on I decided to give it another try and oh boy did I ever finally *get* it. With how fast-paced everything is, it gets difficult to get attached to characters if you're blazing through chapters so quickly.

For about 90ish chapters, the pacing is incredible, the latter half just throws you for a loop every second chapter, easily my favourite moment is when they end up in Hell. Immediately we're told something stronger than the big threat, the gun devil, is on its way and then the following sequence with the darkness devil. Also watching someone go from liking Makima then twenty minutes later wishing death upon her is hilarious 😭
