The Pendragon series by DJ MacHale was my childhood and is what inspired me to write, I've started rereading it and it still stands to this day imo. Very good books by a great author.

I never got why so many people never read the books. I love to read them even if I read them already.

This is a nice video. I've never seen anyone do a video about the lost books. I did read them all my first play through and randomly in other play throughs.

I mean I love Stardew Valley but I've also never really cared for the books. Watching your video just made me love Stardew Valley even more. This game will never stop to amaze me. Thank you for going through all the books :)

I enjoy getting lost books early because once you have them all, you know you're not getting any more. I'd love if there was a series of books that you couldn't dig up until after the museum was "complete" (quotes are because if more books are added after then it is no longer technically complete) maybe even move the legendary fish book and the book about the 3 statues to that section of books. for this type of game, the lore wasn't important to me until after I was pretty far into a play through when I was looking for more to keep me immersed. I read the library books, but a lot of what it was telling me was stuff I had figured out, or knew going in from listening to friends who have played the game. also for your Question of the Day in the comments, if you like fantasy books. the series "How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom" is an amazing read, if a little off the rails at times. Otherwise "Blood Line" by James Rollins, while technically part of a series, works well as a stand alone book. (I didn't realize it was part of a series until I was almost done as while it has characters from other books by the author, but the book doesn't expect you to know all these characters and reintroduces all of them when they appear, if you read the previous books, you just get a few more easter eggs of knowing what the character was up to for why they started somewhere) Hopefully it's as good a read as I remember, it's now been I think over a decade since I last opened it up.

One cool thing I love about how concerned ape made this game is that you can find the answer to everything in the game. Like the directions to the lost statues, or secret notes leading to Caroline’s necklace. Or even how to get the sword from the prismatic shards! My first play through was with no wiki and I just loved it!

I read the books when i get bored with what I'm doing in-game, lots of times it helps bring me back to the immersion
