Did you read Fourth Wing? And what did you think? 😅

Ive never read this book but yup, I'm living for all the roasts. Especially the great ones that pinpoint all the deficiencies from creators that I like😅

Oh my gosh, I am living for this!! 🤣 I've heard a lot about this book and why it might not fit everyone's taste but how have I missed the whole sexy dragon stuff until know?! I can't- 🤣🤣 Also I think you made a good point and I've been thinking about some of my favourite romantacy books and the fact that I love them so much is solely because they were the first few I've read and the stories were not yet "sucked dry" for me... but in the grand scheme of things it's always the same path they follow

When I read the h*rny dragon bit I truly had to turn off the audiobook cause I was actually spiralling. As for the romantasy storylines, if you’ve never read a romantasy book ever in your life, or a YA fantasy for that matter, I’m pretty sure you would actually enjoy this one if it’s your cup of tea. After the fifth or sixth book you’ve read in the genre though, you start to see through a lot of the formulas and plot devices. That’s also completely normal: it’s called a genre for a reason. But I feel that as an author, you should at least try and make an effort to challenge your readers and the genre standards you are working with. Otherwise it all becomes very stale.
