Oh no, this wasn't simply inspired by Star Wars. It was a legit Reylo Star Wars fanfic available online at one point. This could explain the pacing and why the characters feel flat.

That explains a lot 🙈 I enjoyed it for the romance and politics, but it still fell flat a lot of the time unfortunately! It would have been so much better if she had just stepped away from Star Wars and made it her own🙃
