You are doing a phenomenal job and Series of videos of my favourite video game franchise. I grew up playing the first Killzone on The PS2 since 2010, and then in 2023/2024, I played Killzone 2 and Killzone 3 To death, I love Killzone so so much, I think you are doing a outstanding job on KZbin and The Killzone Community! You deserve more views and subscribers! I even made an Entire KZbin Playlist all about Killzone with your videos included and other KZbinrs who made videos about Killzone. I love your jokes and your determination to Revive Killzone. Keep up the Phenomenal Job! Killzone has Countless And Countless Of Potential. Have a good August!

I keep saying I wish someone would bring this game back.

Lord knows I'm trying lol. Not as a game but as SOMETHING at least. Even if it's just making lore videos until the end of time.

honestly im proud that you are doing something different for this series as its something that is needed and yeah killzone fanbase pretty much alt right these days
@KoniraThax5 ай бұрын
I figured it would potentially be the case just because of the source material but I've been given some horror stories by others who have tried to dive a bit deeper into the fan base.

I'm a huge fan of Killzone and I have a lot of constructive criticism around the whole plot, I wonder if one day they will make a reboot or anything like that, but If they do they should go towards the Gundam Zeta footsteps, multifactor space warfare, not just space Nazis vs earth like UN/NATO, Zeta is interesting in the way it portraits the Earth Federation as bad as the space fascists, which also includes a third party made of private military and the resistance groups that aren't all that binary, since it have multiple components of each faction and all of them are fighting for different goals ending up in a stalemate. What I wanted to see was something beyond the ISA, VSA (which is a extension of the ISA) and Helgast, something more with more variety, different factions fighting each other trading alliances between each other for the sake of the strategical goal, them betraying each other when is advantageous, like not good or bad side, just different sides with different approaches, even different sides within each side, like a more fascistic ISA faction and a more progressive one, similar thing with the VSA and Helgast, showing the power struggles within and without each faction, also some guerrilla like resistance, something like the Outer space liberation movement, stuff like that.

Killzones' universe is ripe for all kinds of exploration. I love the idea of all the different colonies and hopefully we might see that one day. I'm mostly focusing a lot of my energy on fleshing out Helghan as a whole, because I'm not overly fond of them just being "space yatzees". I've been doing a lot of that through Stahl and other subsequent Helghan such as Hahka and Radec.

I think the fanbase being "alt-right" is a bit of an exaggeration. It mostly consists of people who just think the villains look cool. At most, you'll occasionally get someone who says, "Wow, some guys from the ISA unintentionally made Helgan even more hostile towards life." Tho most understand that it plays into the whole "war is hell" message of it all.

Using that term wasn't meant to be a blanket statement. It's merely an observation on a lot of the testimonies I've gotten from people who have interacted with it in the past and current. I bring it to light because the fandom having that potential persona has made it difficult for a lot of newer people to look into the series. I would like Killzone to be seen as a more exclusive series because I love the potential of it outside of the vibe of "guns and space yatzee".
@joecrazy98965 ай бұрын
@KoniraThax You could always just have your own subsection of the fandom if you're that worried. Better that then to attempt to "replace" the main fandom. Which will just turn into an all-out Internet brawl like many other fandoms before it.
@KoniraThax5 ай бұрын
I'm not trying to replace it. If you don't feel the "alt-right" statement applies to you, then you're not a part of the group we're potentially worried about. Also, my goal isn't to attack the pre-existing fanbase, it's to expand it.
@joecrazy98965 ай бұрын
@KoniraThax OK, but that's why I said you should just make your own fan group that's separate. Let it grow or shrink on its own, tho it's gonna be hard to get that "new audience" when there isn't a new Killzone game to open that potential door. Especially with Gorilla Games massively banking on the success of Horizon Zero and focusing on that franchise. Also, I'm mostly just worried about what you'd label as "alt-right." Are you specifically talking political extremists, or are you talking about people who just have very basic right leaning stances? That's what I'm worried about when you use that kind of language. It would be no different if I, for example. Go into the Disco Elysium fanbase and say, "we need to get rid of the hardliner communist sympathizers in order to grow the fanbase." Then proceed to get on the case of people who only hold very basic left leaning stances. I'd rather we just live and let live and try not make it a whole crusade/witchhunt against whatever is left of the Killzone fanbase.

There is no witchhunt, brother.

I was on board until the "queer" stuff came up. We really going to push the rainbow bs into yet another universe where it doesn't belong? Why do characters have to have defined sexualities? Theres only been like two off screen relationships in the entire franchise to begin with. It's not that its an unexplored aspect of Killzone, its that it doesnt exist to begin with. And it doesnt *need* to be. And in an era where to woke stuff is finally being rejected, it would be a nail in the already closed coffin of KZ.
@KoniraThax5 ай бұрын
@ShellShock11C When did I mention the sexualities or orientations of in universe characters? I'm a massive fan of this series and queer. Most of my friends who still love KZ are also queer. LGBTQA+ KZ fans exist.
