I'm not a person who is into painting antiques, but sometimes it is the only solution, and I loved the color you used. The end result is lovely. And as you said , it will now have a chance at one more life. I don't like to see furniture painted with a brush. It looks so much better sprayed.

Beautiful pivot, Katie! She looks lovely and the hardware is the perfect touch. Sometimes the furniture really does have its own ideas about what should be done. That color is gorgeous and I hope you get many years of enjoyment from her. I would consider this one a big success!🌸

I agree with you on this one. I firmly believe you only paint when it’s absolutely necessary. In this case it was absolutely necessary. And it looks great. The only thing I may have done different, is if I had some veneer that would fit the top, glue it on and have a nice looking wood top.

Thank you , thank you so much for sharing this. I have been struggling to get this antique buffet back to wood. It was a very strong emerald green. Ir had the white primer that could last a life time. I have been beating myself up as I just haven’t been able to get it all off. Have resorted to a faux technique. This shows me I am not the only one who has struggled with a piece. This is my second one and I have felt like giving up. I know you have way more experience so I feel encouraged Thank you again😊
