Surprised on how little time Marcos Leonardo had considering he's a top talent who already was at the club. About the same about Prestiani who wasn't even mentioned in 5 years 😅 Still, nice rebuild and it was a joy to watch!

@@BrunoSilvaElessar thats also fun yes and i did it with a different club but with the benfica safe i really focus on youth most of my bench players are from the youth academy and with the exception of 3 players (GK, RB, CB) i have a full youth starting eleven and the only player remaining from the beginning is antonio silva, its kinda hard to get good defensive players so i kept him

@@christianulrich8234 Yes with the Benfica youth team u can build almost a eleven start for the main team, 4-2-3-1 Defenders- (Tiago Parente, Diogo Spencer, António Silva, Morato), Midfield- (João Neves, João veloso), Advanced midfield- (Gonçalo Moreira, João Rego, Hugo Félix) And some others for backup, Rafael Luís, Dinis Telehovshci, Florentino Luís. For GK and FS no one is good. xD This is just Youth academy, still have Andreas Schjelderup, Trubin and Prestiani/Marcos Leonardo with update. Dream for who love se kids grow up.

My first eleven: Diogo Costa (FCP), A. Bah, A. Silva, Tapsoba (B. Leverkusen), Nuno Santos (SCP), F. Aurnes, J. Neves, P. Gonçalves (SCP), R. Horta (SP. Braga), Kokçu, Gyokeres (SCP) or Evanilson (FCP)... 3 highly sucessfull seasons in Portugal with doubles and trebles but I can never pass to the ECL semis... Every year i go down either last 16 or 8😊

With the young talent that Benfica have, we can't really say that it's a "rebuild". I'm Portuguese and a Benfica supporter, so, naturally, my 1st run in FM24 was with Benfica. This was Before the update, so, no Marcos Leonardo, no Prestianni, so long so forth. And, I won the Portuguese league and the cup and the champions league in the 1st season.

Benfica would be doing much better if only the coach placed the players at their real position... Last year Benfica did great with very few changes in the team from game to game. This year, everything changes from game to game. Cabral finally starts scoring, goes to the bench. Kokcu does a great game as number 10, next game goes back in the field again.... no one understands the logic of Schmidt this year.

How do you get through the season so quick? I've been playing my first save for ages and I'm still only on the fourth season yet you can go through five seasons in a matter of days

I'm assuming he holidays the save and sets a tactic to be used / some players in certain positions.

@@baeleyy When you click on Go on Holiday a little options box will come up where you select when you'd like to come back from holiday. There should be two tick boxes above that, one for Use current tactics and another for Use current team selection. Might be worded differently, but tick those and hell use your tactic.

The reason Porto is always predicted to be 1st in FM is because the FM portuguese scouts are Porto supporters. FM 23 actually had Benfica with a crippling debt of 600 million € when real life was 170 million, Porto players are also always inflated whereas Benfica and Sporting are always crap

Benfica's a senior affiliate in my save, and gave me Anton Fisun (he's in U19 iirc) for free. He's a baller on BWM/Anchor. About next rebuilds: how about going outside the top 7 leagues? I'm thinking NK Maribor from Slovenia, Dukla Prague from Czechia, Górnik Zabrze from Poland, FC Basel from Switzerland or Austria Wien of Austria. That could be something new in the FM scene, too.
