What we do to remove that bearing is to weld a slide hammer bit to it, then pull on the slide hammer and the bearing comes out. Saves removing and stripping the complete engine.
@FromTheGroundUP6273 жыл бұрын
Good job man, it is pretty scary when your out of your depth in this kind of thing but knowing its already broken gives you the ability to delve in, can't get any more broken can it. Top job in my books... we done!

Great video mate!! I’m currently restoring a J1 (pre 636) as it’s previous owner negotiated it for years. I’m hoping that I won’t have to go as far as rebuilding the engine, but if I do I’ll be watching this again 😁

Nice job, you are brave! Did she give you any warning before letting go? I have an 06 636 and have some noise from transmission I think. I guess a plus is while the motor is out you can get in to clean all the awkward spots we can't usually get to.

Awesome vid! I notice that your last clutch friction plates is not put on properly hub groove. Does it have any problem on your riding?
@NIXVIDS3 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure what you mean ? Could you elaborate?
@kimaz503 жыл бұрын
@@NIXVIDS my bad sir . Im not an English speaker. I mean there are 9 friction plates on clutch hub. The last friction should be instal clock wised and not align to the other friction plates. You can check b1h service manual of Clutch Chapter(page 6-11). Just spot the detail when you’re putting clutch plates back.
@NIXVIDS3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for pointing that out, I will pin you comment so hopefully people will realise this in the future. Won't lie I did rush putting the clutch back in.

No i didn't try running it, I heard a horrible noise and pulled over. It was investigated by a garage (monomotorcycles) who determined the issue.
