hello, everybody! if you enjoyed I'm very glad. and I see a lot of people worried about my tank... for all of you that are wondering how my tank is going, it is going great. None of my anomies or soft corals have passed away. I have done a lot of research about saltwater tank and I've made sure I got the correct components to establish myself a very healthy tank. and the rocks I put in are not coral, they are live rock, and they are already esblablished from previous tanks which means they have lots of beneficial bacteria to help with amazing water quality. as for the sand, the sand is packaged with natural saltwater from the actual ocean and that is why it is wet. it carries all types of beneficial bacteria to also help with great water quality. my water, sand, and rocks are all from previously established tanks which means a natural established base tank. as for all the water parameters I have good alkalinity, phosphates are low and the nitrite/nitrate are low and being controlled by macro algea I have put in the tank. all of my fish are healthy and as for the puffer and blue tang, I know they get really big, but right now they are little babies, (around 2 inches long) they take some time to grow and I like to donate fish when they get big. I have owned a lot of fish that outgrow tanks, just like a Redtail catfish for example and I donate them to aquariums for when they get too big. I care and love my fish I get and make sure all water parameters are good at all times, so all my fish can thrive. I don't like seeing dead fish as much as you do too. I've had fish tanks since I was 10 years old and its a hobby I've enjoyed for years, are recently discovered I love to make videos on them. If you are a beginner and want to start a saltwater tank, its definitely worth doing a lot of research so your tank will thrive. just like me I have just started looking into saltwater tanks 3 months prior from starting this video and its defiantly worth gaining knowledge on starting a saltwater tank so you know exactly what's going on.

@mrfish.-16 күн бұрын
@@masteroctopusesanimations153 75 gallons is not ideal, blue tangs can get almost a foot in length. Not only are most tangs large, all of them love space to swim and graze. - RO/DI water is super clean freshwater which has been filtered via reverse osmosis and it is important to use in reef tanks because you need to get your water chemistry just right, particularly if you are keeping corals! - That's live rock, not coral. - You need a waaaay bigger tank for the blue tang and porcupine puffer. Blue tangs alone need a 250 gallon aquarium as adults! - Many of those 'anemones' are NOT anemones but corals; the only ones which are anemones are the ones which move around. Corals cannot move, anemones can. - Ughh I hope there were a few days if not better weeks between animal acquisitions and cycling your tank!!! 😬 - Also, fun note but your bigger clownfish is gonna genderbend to female. I really wish that your video had shown that you did research and responsibly acquisitioned your stock sloooowly, not a bunch all at once like that. Reef tanks take a lot of time and research to develop properly. Sorry to be a party pooper.☹️

I knew what the comments were going to be before I even watched the video lol. But in all realness, buy a bigger tank or trade in the two fish. You can stunt their growth, among other health issues, even though they aren't that big right now. if you opt for a bigger tank, remember to go for a longer tank rather than a deeper/taller tank to achieve the "gallons requirement" because what the tangs really need is room to swim, so 6 feet wide is a good minimum if you want to keep tangs in the future. Also gives the fish more real estate if you will, to call their own, which is very beneficial if you end up getting some of the very beautiful, very territorial fish that are out there. Don't let the comments discourage you though, keep learning!

Depending on where you are. I got a quarter-sized baby yesterday here in SoCal for $250. Even THAT is crazy compared to the fact that they were selling for like $30 each just 5 years ago or so.
@zakarymcleod18503 ай бұрын
Awesome build. If you really want a yellow tang, you can only get Japanese imports or captive bred specimims at the moment. Hawaii banned imports of Hawaiin yellow tangs, which is where they all came from until pretty recently. I'd check Biota or an ORA dealer online for some captive bred babies. They are a bit pricy, but will come small enough to fit in your tank for some time. Japanese imports may be cheaper but are often just as pricey, and they typically come in stressed, starving, and sometimes sick. As for Moorish Idols, they just need a super high fiber diet. Most die from constapation or diseases caused by a high fat and protein, low fiber diet. There are prepared foods on the market now specifically for them. If you get one from Live Aquaria's diver's den, they will already be eating some form of prepared food. They get too big for your tank, but so are the tangs and the puffer, so you'll have to rehome or replace all of those. I would still avoid them personally, but if you want to make it happen then you can.

Putting different fish (some of them will outgrow the tank, if they don’t die before) that have a aggressive potential or don’t fit together in terms of parameters, some, if not most of them will die.
