I think pokemon look more creative when they aren't all the same color. If every electric type had to be yellow ad it's main color the pokemon franchise would be awful after 3 generations or less

As much as I enjoy white fluffy designs and how adorable you made glaceon look, I believe it's supposed to embody ice itself and how sharp it is while still looking elegant, so if I were to redesign it I'd lean harder on that idea. That being said though, redesigns are a thing of personal taste, so they're all valid :)

I love the redesign that you did! But I do have a slight problem with your glaceon redesign.. sure it’s very cute and pretty but it doesn’t look like a ice type eeveelution, it looks more like a fanmade flying type eeveelution. It’s too fluffy, the ears looks more like wings and the fluff on the legs are very used on fanmade flying type eeveelution. I still like the design! But I would make it a flying type instead of a ice type

I don't think there's anything wrong with Flareon's original design. I DO really like yours aside from the eyes (looks too... superhero-y to me). The coloring is very striking, although I think it makes it look like Rock/ Fire instead of pure Fire. Or maybe even Rock/ Dark. That color scheme would make a SICK shiny, though. Your last Flareon idea could work for a Dragon Eeveelution after some tweaking. The neck "fluff" could be made into a spike collar instead. Oooooh, ideas. Dragon Eevee is really hard to get right. I'm on the fence about your Glaceon. I get what you're saying with making it fluffy and it is really cute, but I think it should be dialed back a bit. Maybe removing the fluffs on the legs? Idk. I don't see anything wrong with the original Jolteon, but I actually DO like yours. It's cuter than the original. This is the best of this bunch IMO. I don't really mind that Jolteon doesn't have a tail, or much of one, but I like the bolt tail. I think your Vaporeon has too much going on. Original Vaporeon, while not my favorite Eeveelution (there are way better Water-types), is probably the most creative Eeveelution design tied with Sylveon. It is a fish/ mermaid, but somehow it makes sense as a form of Eevee. It's the perfect combination of fish and mammal. I think the neck thing is because they translated Eevee's neck fluff into the typing for the first 3 (all in good ways IMO. I wonder why they stopped), and it makes sense just to make it into fins. I do see what you're saying about the 1600s collar and that is actually kind of funny, but Vaporeon has never felt weird to me. Also, the pink communicates a type combo to me- either Psychic or Fairy. Yeah, this one is too complicated to be an Eeveelution. All the Eeveelutions are fairly simple.

This was exactly what I was thinking. For a single type his vaporeon has too much going on. I feel like he didn't really redesign flareon just changed a few aspects like colors. I also agree with his glaceon being too fluffy, I personally liked his left design a bit more.

I agree with most of what you said, I do think glaceon was much better as it was, didn't needed to be fluffy and all white to being able to tell it's an ice type, and it just looks too basic to me It's clear that Vaporeon's redesign is way too detailed compared to the others, could work as a new design for a new generation pokemon, but as an eeveelution ? Not really

I like all the redesigns, but i feel like the diamond pattern that glaceon has gives it a more ice feel instead of snow. I feel like the fluffy white with a bit of blue would have looked more like a glaceon redesign if it had those diamond shapes at least a little, like the ears. I do LOVE the addition of fluff because that makes it feel more warm and cozy, and since it’s an ice pokemon i love that idea. The vaporeon is also cool, but i feel like the tentacles and addition of pink and white make it look more like a mix of vaporeon and sylveon. I do like the additions of the colours but i feel like it looks too much like sylveon The jolteon is definetely my favorite! That tail is AMAZING and i love the redesign overall, maybe a few more spikes, but i definetely love it The flareon is also really cool. I don’t have a problem with it’s original design, but i do agree that it had so much more potential as a fire pokemon, and i also love the black and especially the flames as fur and tail, can’t wait to see the next redesigns!!

lightning’s purple though, not to mention dark stormy skies, plasma balls, etc purple fits electric very well, and i love the very subtle deep purple in og jolteons ears, gives it a little more dimension

Also I personally really like the one dimensional tail on Glaceon. I also like that Jolteon doesn’t have a tail, it’s an interesting way to set it apart from the other evolutions.

Here’s my opinions on the redesigns, because why not? Flareon: I definitely think he got a good glow up! I like his original design, but I think he definitely deserves the remake because he’s too simple. Glaceon: This might be my least favorite because there is too much white and it’s just… simple… I guess, I just don’t like it. The original looks cool, and I agree, the colors are meh and the tail is fracking flat, but I think the redesign could use some work. Jolteon: Ngl, the redesign is sick. But, I like the old one better because it has more dimension to it, but I would definitely put that redesign tail on the original. Looks cool. Vaporeon: The redesign is too complicated to me and it looks to feminine that everyone would consider it a female Pokémon. It’s cool and all, and the color combo is cool, but it’s not my favorite.

These designs are really cool. The Vaporeons (both of them) are my favorite. I don’t think any of them would fit as actual Eeveelutions. They’re too over the top. The simplicity of the Eeveelutions is part of their charm. Flareon and Jolteon give me major Fakemom vibes, also. I know, shocking. The Fakemon look like Fakemon. Still cool, just notably Fakemon-y.

The problem I have with a lot of these is that for single types they just have too much going on, or are too incredibly basic, Or just don’t look like Eeveelutions at all. They look like separate Pokémon. I like all the current Eeveelutions (maybe discount Flareon but I still love him) and I rlly feel like, you did more harm to the designs than good I like flareon’s redesign but the black makes it look like a dual type and it doesn’t look like an eeveelution Glaceon is just alolan vulpix 2.0/a white fluffier eevee with a horn, it’s so basic even more basic than original Flareon it’s so bad /: Jolteon’s new non spiky look makes it look basic too in my opinion. The tail is cool but it doesn’t blend well with the rest of the design… Vaporeon is the only one thats stupidly complicated and to a fault. The different colors give dual type vibes and it just has too much going on. There was literally nothing wrong with vaporeon’s original design and though I like this one it’s not an Eeveelution, it just doesn’t look or feel like on at all, save the proportions but still.

That's what I was thinking for Jolteon and Vaporeon. I like the Jolteon redesign tail's concept a whole lot, but it looks almost awkward when placed on the body that it was. And otherwise, the body was.... Lacking. However, I really love Vaporeon's coloring, and I think the shading is absolutely beautiful, but it looks like it lost all of its Vaporeon-ness and instead just got combined with Primarina. It looks water-fairy imo. Pretty? Yes. Just not fitting.

I think they're all great designs, but some of them just don't feel like Eeveelutions honestly. Flareon's original design I think is just fine, and when you look at it, you would know that it's a fire type. While the design you've made does do the same, I think the fire on the eyes and the black is over doing it. For Glaceon, I personally absolutely love it's original design, just like you'd know that Flareon's a fire type, you'd know Glaceon is an ice type. The design you made for Glaceon IS cute, but I feel like it also looks a bit too flying type, but also I think it looks a bit too much like Alolan Vulpix. As for Glaceon's colours, to fix it, an easy thing to do would to be to swap it's colours and it's shiny colours. I think Jolteon is awesome in it's original design. Again, it perfect shows that it's an electric type, and yes I'm going to say that again for Vaporeon with water type. I don't think a huge blue tail works for it, and it's purple I feel fits better than blue. Vaporeon, yup, it fits perfectly with the water type, I have no problem with it's tail, and I don't think many people do. It also does combining a mammal with a fish awesomely. I feel like the design you've made for Vaporeon is way to over designed though, especially for a gen 1 Pokemon, though he design could absolutely work for a completely different Pokemon! And, again, I'm not saying any of these designs are bad, they're awesome, but I feel like they just don't fit in with the Eeveelutions. Also the Eeveelutions are meant to really show what type they are, and the originals do that perfectly.

I totally agree! I feel like the flareon redesign looks like a rock/fire type, glaceon like a flying type and vaporeon like a fairy/water type. They don't feel like redesigns, but more like combining a type with each. I do think some of the designs could be less simplistic but they were made that way because you didn't have a lot of possibilities on the gameboy etc, and I feel like that just wasn't taken into account here. That's why they either don't feel like eeveelutions (like jolteon) or are just eevee type combinations. Imo you could give flareon some more details, change glaceons colors and maybe the pattern, give jolteon a cool tail and change vaporeons neck crest, but thats all i would do. Especially since i wouldn't feel the need to redesign vaporeon anyway.

I agree on that one. It's more closely resembling Eevee than Glaceon. Honestly it shouldn't be that close resemblance of Eevee it's just a white Eevee with blue eyes and a crystal horn sticking out of it. I like the other interpretation of Glaceon better

i prefer the original designs to be honest but your work is awesome as well! i think the new designs need more lore to fit in, for example, glaceon probably is the way it is because it controls ice instead of enduring ice.. vaporeon probably got that thing around it's neck from eevee. flareon has all this fur that does resemble fire although it looks too ordinary i agree.. and jolteon.... okay i can't excuse jolteon that much, it should have had a better design in my opinion.. but i think the electric tail is a bit much, all eeveelutions are tame with their designs... mayne a bit too tame

Vaporeon didn't really need a redesign, they worked perfectly as they were. Plus, most official pokemon work way better than these do.

I do really like these designs and I think they are awesome but the thing is, Eeveelutions are meant to be more simplistic. I've seen some other designs and they are way too busy. You don't go into busyness a lot and I thank you for that. Also I think you shouldnt change every single thing about them. Possibly take one aspect and change it a bit to your liking. Otherwise I love these a lot

You seem to be aminimalist artist which I LOVe. The Fakemon community could use more minismalist artists. With that said, I think your Glaceon looks more like a Flying type than ice. I agree with the color pallet, but the fluffy part created type ambiguity. Your Flareon is waaaaay better, but saying the original doesn't look like a fire type is an overstatement. Nothing will ever be better than original Vaporeon, it is pure perfection. By far the best design in the entire franchise

I love these designs. The only thing that bothers me is that eeveelutions generally have one main color, with only accents being made in another color (like espeons pearl or umbreons rings).

Hmm... 🤔 Your redesign for Flareon here actually does look awesome as an alternate Flareon! You really pushed the Fire typing with this one and it came out beautiful, those flaming eyebrows even lean into the "Fire as passion" motif for extra... Flare. 🤭 I never had any issues with OG Flareon, was one of the cuter Eeveelutions in my opinion so I can never say I hate it but it really does look like they held back too much with OG Flareon. Now, here's where it's important to note people have different tastes. I like OG Glaceon, I think it still reads as an Ice type but going in a different direction. Rather than "generic fluff for arctic creature" Glaceon attempts to look sleeker because ice is smooth. Glaceon looks like an animal that's a living embodiment of ice itself as opposed to a creature that lives in icy climates. While I love your redesign and it is adorable I can't help but feel there's two issues with it that actually make it feel like it doesn't go over as well for me. The first is its color scheme is far too simplistic, like you pushed Flareon's Fire typing beautifully but Glaceon actually feels scaled back. It has an icy horn, but that just feels like a Seel/Goldeen "fix", perhaps more ice crystals along the body would have helped? The second is because it's so simplistically colored, combined with all the fluff, it actually has a confusing design since it could just as easily be a Flying type cloud Eeveelution as much as it could be a camouflaged, snowy Glaceon. Adorable design but not doing the job it was meant to do, it could have used another iteration. I can agree that OG Jolteon definitely could have used a tail and having a tail made of lightning for your redesign was an excellent creative decision! Gen 1 tended to go with spiky fur or projections to give off the Electric type vibe but it does sacrifice the impression of speediness that most Electric types are that a sleeker design would have helped to convey. Your Jolteon design is nearly perfect, but it does feel like a small something is missing. Perhaps a bit of additional scruff on the hindquarters? Even as-is it's, shall we say, stunning! Oh my... Vaporeon's redesign could actually be really good with further tweaking to make it not an Eeveelution but as an Eeveelution it is... A bit much. Compared to the official Eeveelutions and to your redesigns your own Vaporeon surely stands out, the closest one to match it in terms of design complexity is Sylveon, but even then your Vaporeon ends up looking more complex by comparison. The pink also may have muddled it a little in regards to trying to convey its Water typing, it ended up looking more like a Water/Fairy type. Calling back to a bit of justification for OG Jolteon's use of purple, it was used only in very small amounts to act as a way to add a pop of color (as purple is yellow's RYB complement) and draw attention to its eyes and ears, an excellent decision when making art showing only its face. The pink could have worked but it would have been better off as an accent color.

The Vaporeon design on the right just-- it sends me. I absolutely adore it. Maybe under certain conditions, an Eevee can evolve into either Vaporeon designs you came up with! Like, the left design could be an evolution that's the result of a more positive environment whereas the right design could be the result of a more violent environment. Shit, I just world-built in the comments... but yeah, the idea of having different evolution outcomes depending on situations and/or environments would be really awesome. the biggest missed opportunity was how Funko made Sylveon’s figure have black eyes rather than its light blue eyes, which what makes it stand out from the other eeveelutions Also, as much as Glaceon is my favorite Eeveelution, the thing that bothers me the most abt its design is how the entire back part of its head is bald lol

This are my thoughts: Flareon: It is a really cool design with the body looking like it's burnt because of its fire, but I prefer the first one because it shows that it is a pure fire type because the final redesign of Flareon looks like its type is dark/fire. Glaceon: I really really like the glaceon redesign I think it looks so much better than the original, but it kinda looks like a evolution of Alolan vulpix. Jolteon: I like the redesign because the original looks to spiky and I really like the electric tail because it looks really cool, while the head and body is simple. Vaporeon: I don't really like the vaporeon redesign cause it has to many things going on, I don't like the thing on its head cause it looks to big for its head, but I like the color scheme and the mermaid tail if you put that on regular vaporeon and changing the fins/gills on its neck to be different or smaller I think it would be better. (THIS IS MY PERSONAL OPINION SO DON'T COMPLAIN)

I like these but overall the originals? Not too sure. Flareon redesign was definitely a Win, in my books And while I believe Jolteon needed a redesign, I feel like the jagged sharp fur helped with it's personality. I love the tail from the redesign but I probably would had prefer something like your second redesign sketch. Overall, still pretty. I really like glaceon's original design because it gives me a sense of elegance. I could see maybe there is too much blue, but if white were to be added, I think a balance would work together. I like the new redesign but it has me really wishing for it's previous elegance instead of it's trade for cuteness. Vaporeon redesign was amazing, I just don't know if prefer it over the original or not. Compare to glaceon and Jolteon redesigns, it feels like there is just a bit too much going on. It's honestly very pretty, just off putting a bit. But keep going with the designs, you are really creative and talented and love to see more.

I agree with jolteon. The original Jolteon gives off a brave and somewhat cocky energy. This redesign has nothing going on personality wise. Like a blank slate. It had no real facial expression, which would be fine if it had more spikes or a something to signify jolteon’s personality.

While I enjoy game-Glaceon, it's angular and has little "hair tendrils", I love how fluffy and snow-like you interpreted Glaceon! It's like the deer-fox from Hilda. Other than that, I love the additional colours/reimaginings overall! Vaporeon looks less "fish-type" and more a broad undersea 'mon. Although its "ruff" reminds me of a painting, specifically as it's a "cat".

i dont personally like these myself, dont get me wrong, the concept look cool but, wrong when it comes to eeveelutions about flareon, yes, it is not the best representative of its type, but its not as bad as to switch its whole concept around, i like the concept of fire around its neck and tail, but its executed wrong and without a reason, specially since as its pokedex entry mentions " If its body gets too hot, it will fluff out the fur on its collar to cool down." which wouldnt make sense with literal flames around it. a flareon with flame based fur woulve looked better. glaceon, i feel like this one feels like a cloud of fur, like a flying type, specially since glaceon is meant to be cold and survive on any habitat without the need of warmth, and as its pokedex entry aswell says "Glaceon, the Fresh Snow Pokémon. Glaceon freezes the surrounding air by controlling its body temperature." confirming it doesnt need warmth. jolteon. again, the tail looks cool, but it doesnt have a reason and looks off (and it not having a tail doesnt make it too wrong based offits reasons) , and the fur being more smooth takes away its whole concept of having static on its fur, as it also says in its entry "Jolteon's prickly fur is made of electrically charged needles and generates negatively charged ions" and "When angered or frightened, the hairs on Jolteon's body become like needles that are fired at its opponents", and it kind of makes it look rather bald. and vaporeon, again, it looks like itd have fairy as a secondary typing, as it feels like a mix of a sylveon and glaceon, the colors feel exagerated compared to other eeveelutions , "Vaporeon is a Pokémon that shares physical traits with both aquatic and land animals" which in this case would ignore the land animal part and "It can detect moisture with its fins, which vibrate when rain will fall soon." which applies to its neck kind of finns. and its straight up too much details. most of these dont have a reason to be, and feel so off from the pokemon world. this is not meant for harm nor hate, and im sorry if the text was too long, im just mentioning what i personally dont like off this as a fakemon designer

Okay I'm so sorry but this comment is more well bad so if you really liked this video dont read anymore of this comment. Anyways Eevees are suppose to be SIMPLE so you can really see they represent fire or dark or fairy yeah know? and so redesigning the Eevees would be really hard especially because Eevees designs are actually REALLY GOOD and a lot of people like them. But the worst part about ALL of your designs is that they dont SCREAM, "I'M A WATER TYPE!" its more like I look like im based on the ocean and I also kinda look like a fairy and water type! So for your fire type it kinda seems like a dark and fire type.For your electric type it kinda seems like a yellow physic type. (and I already talked about the water type in one of my examples.) And your probably thinking, "what about the ice type?" Well I also said Eevees are suppose to be SIMPLE! All of your Eevees are no where NEAR the simpleness of the originals. I'm so sorry I thought they were BEAUTIFUL designs and you are really talented but they aren't really the Eevee redesigns we needed/wanted (I say that because I believe Eevees need no redesign. in my opinion of course.) Again so so sorry you are EXTREMELY talented. :(

I do think the glaceon redesign feels more like a flying type! It is very cute though! I loved the vaporeon redesign, it looked like a jellyfish hat or something.

I like all of these final designs, but i feel the ones you didn’t choose for glaceon and jolteon were actually better than what you did. A little bit of complexity isn’t a bad thing, even on an eveelution. Which is interesting, because completely of detail drove you away from choosing what I think was the better jolteon redesign, but drove you to choose your final vaporeon design. How are the situations different?

Hoooooonestly the angler fish Vaporeon was a missed opportunity!! Eeveelutions ARE more cute than scary but it was such a cool design and I feel like we don’t see enough of it. I do love the design you chose, it’s absolutely beautiful, but I feel like there’s already quite a few jellyfish Pokémon out there. The other design would have just given Pokémon a bit more diversity, even tho you drawing that design wouldn’t have made it official or anything. And yes, I know, Lanturn does exist, but that’s like a bright and cute Pokémon, while angler fish live in the depths and are dark and spooky. And I feel like the Vaporeon would have been a nice nudge to the fish without it literally just being an angler fish. Regardless of my unimportant opinion on this strange matter that for some reason concerns me, I loved the video!! I think your designs were really cool :)

I absolutely love the designs and they are very unique takes on the pokemon of yore, I just feel like the designs are not quite... uniform to the type. All of them could easily be mistaken for other types Flareon's black body although it looks cool and I love the design trope, could easily be mistaken for a dark type instead of a fire type. Or Glaceon could be taken for a flying type. Its use of rhombus shapes to represent crystals of ice and use of cold shades of blue was clever. Jolteon lacks the speediness you'd expect from electric types - I feel like you could've left some tufts of fur on its face and hind legs to imply speed. I love the concept of Vaporeon too, going for something more closely resembling a real marine lifeform, but once again, we run into the type dilemma bc pink colors could imply Fairy type

I love the redesigns, but I have to admit I much preferred your other Jolteon mock-up. It had a lot going on, sure, but that's what made it visually interesting and overall more appealing than the tame, sleek look you went for. You say it was "just doing too much", but then gave Vaporeon a jellyfish hat and mermaid tail ^^; But, honestly, I do truly love your redesigns and I can't wait to see more.

I think the ice type redesign is really fitting & cute, the only thing that I think makes it look like flying (like others are claiming) is the fur around the face/ears and the ears themselves, I think if it had shorter, more pointed ears, it’d satisfy more people’s ideas of ice, I love it still great work on all of these ! Ur awesome !

I love the redesigns on all of them, especially flarion, but I have a slight problem with the water-type Eevee (Vaporion) I just think there is way too much going on and i never had a problem with the original vaporion, though I still believe its a great design though.

My only complaint is that maybe Vaporeon still looks the way more detailed one of the 4 while the other 3 are on par detail wise. It's still a huge improvement over regular vaporeon tho. These are really pretty! I’d love to have the redesigned ice type as a plush, only these feel more like advanced versions, they are much less elemental than the originals which led to the poor color palettes sure but also made them easy to identify and to represent their type, these are very pretty but just too complex and colorful to seem like eeveelutions

The flarion look amazing and so do the rest. Though the electric type looks a bit to soft. It could use sharper edges and a bit of a pattern to make it look less bland. I love the water one although its head peice looks a bit to big and the neck piece has the same problem as before. Also the ice type could use more ice on its body. Altogether you did an amazing job at the redesigns.
