Iirc, they couldn’t choose specific colors for shinies until the 3D games. I wish they changed the shiny in Sword and Shield like they changed combusken’s though. Autumn leafeon would be gorgeous!

I'm gonna assume that all of the shinies (ignoring greninja and charizard), are a result of what is basically speedrunning and throwing the nearest paint bucket onto whatever pokemon appears on the shiny conveyor belt, so we get ones ranging from the good the bad to what-the-hell-is-this?

IVE ALWAYS COMPLAINED THAT SHINY LEAFEON WAS SUCH A MISSED OPORTUNITY! Like there’s so many routes to go. Purple red leaves? Awesome. Yellow and orange and red to be more reminiscent of fall? 10/10 concept. BUT NOOO WE GOT A REALLY SAD SHINY. So I’m here screaming THANK YOU for making the fall themed leafeon of my dreams come true!

Many times at the beginning they look like if a hairless cat was an alien ^^" I also love how you took inspiration from a living being I haven't seen done before! There's a lot of theories on what eevee is based on, but from what I've gathered from interviews, it's just an eevee! A creature that would be a believable animal, and yet doesn't resemble a specific one in particular! 🥰

Snoot is usually what we call pupper nose. Also, Foxes are related to dogs so a chihuaha leafeon is technically on brand.

I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS. The canine-like face, the boopable snoot, the fall colors, the beautiful color scheme in general, the little paws, the beautiful eyes, ALL OF IT. most of the eeveelution's shinies are kinda bad. Aside from Eevee, Sylveon, and maybe Umbreon and Vaporeon. Flareon, Leafeon, and Glaceon hardly change, Jolteon and Espeon become the most horrenous radioactive green color I've ever seen. Eeveelutions are too based so they had to nerf them.

I'd imagine this is how you could be able to tell the age of a leafeon. Older ones might be more autumn colored where younger ones would be much greener

Have you tried painting the iris on the bottom side of the cabochons before embedding them in the face sculpture? I've seen it done before and it looks really nice and clean finish

Honestly I use real animals for references for things like evolution since the body changes for whatever attacks are needed per element, so your puppy inspiring the head shape? That's good!

It's very cute. I am curious why you didn't paint the eyes on the back of the cabochons before you added them to the sculpture. Could have avoided the messy resin step since the glass is already shiny. Just a thought. Really nice shiny leafeon interpretation, thanks for sharing!

I can't remember which pokedex entry but in one of them it says something about when a leafeon is first evolved it has a fresh grassy scent but whenever it's gets older then it has more of a Autumn leafy kind of sent
