I'm aspiring to be an artist in general, and recently started getting back into Sonic in a large part thanks to finding out about your project. I was already planning to study Mania, 3&K, and Generations (Classic) while searching for my style. And this has me keeping an eye on pixel art especially. Many things here I would've gone about in such a more time wasting approach that this was a life saver. I truly do appreciate this, and all your work on this project. I can definitely feel your passion for things. Even if not everyone cares; I do think sharing some of your other projects wouldn't be too bad. Though; maybe not here specifically. A technique you can use in aseprite is called tiled mode. This will allow you to draw on horizontally and vertically repeating textures so you can test to see how it would look it it was tiled beside itself. Its seamlessly draws across tiles allowing you to easily make a good looking repeating texture. You could do this by copying the section you want to work on, create a new project with that copy, then click view -> tiled mode -> then any axis you want to draw for. Hope this helps. [5:56] By the way, the further mountains in the background of Hill Top Zone are a repeating pattern because they are on the same layer as the closer mountains, so the graphics for them need to be dynamic in VRAM depending on where Sonic/Tails is.

I never noticed that the distant mountains resemble the foreground. Now I'm imagining a 3D rendition of this stage that actually wraps around the brown peaks. Anywho, I just wanted to say that this project of yours is incredibly inspiring! I've just recently began developing assets for my own fangame, and seeing other people make such great stuff helps me stay motivated to put my all into it. So, thanks for that.

I would really like to see ur interpretation of carnival night zone’s background, I’m fine if it isn’t implemented into the game if u do decide to redo carnival night, I personally don’t like that zone much at all the reason I’m suggesting it is because I feel like the background has a lot of missed opportunities with the context of the level itself, something like a carnival themed city could’ve been interesting, I understand if u disregard my request as it is understandable, u did a great job on the pixel art man, I can’t wait to play ur game when it gets completed
