Hi! Esthetician here. Just a little FYI on the lactic acid and retinol products. Lactic acid is an exfoliant, that's why you see immediate brightness and feel refreshed. Retinols and retinals are antioxidants that work within the cells to promote collagen and elastin production. You should use retinoids as often as your skin can comfortably tolerate for best results (consistency is key w this product) and only use the acid exfoliators (lactic, glycolic, malic, ect) once or twice per week depending on skin type. Hope this helps clarify the differences. 🙂

I gave up on my rotating circle shelf when I found out that skincare products shouldn’t be exposed to heat from the shower. Now I keep all my stuff on a cute 3 shelf unit I keep in hallway outside the bathroom. I just bring stuff in within a shower caddy unit. I like it better because I can keep all my products together: what I’m currently using and backstock.

Love this video idea! One product in my collection that I refuse to finish because it's probably the worst thing I've ever put on my face is the Tatcha setting powder. I was so excited for the launch a couple of years ago, picked it up IMMEDIATELY even though it is expensive as hell lol, and couldn't wait to use it. Supreme disappointment. A crusty dusty dry flakey mess. Gritty like sand and sawdust mixer together. Mixed and coagulated with a thin layer of concealer and turned into some sort of pastey concealer gravy. Aged me 87 years in a millisecond. Smelled like wet cornflakes. Not technically skincare and doesn't relate exactly to this video but I just really want everyone to know it's the most horrible product I've ever spent my money on 😅😅😅

for puffiness, I have had such good results from the Ordinary caffeine serum! it's worked better than many more expensive eye creams at quickly reducing puff. i am excited to try their new barrier repair cream. sometimes puffiness can also come from air travel, salty and/or sugary snacks, alcohol, medication, etc. i definitely feel like i see it a lot more during holidays!

Ugh, I feel your pain when it comes to cleaning those acrylic storage trays, caddies, drawers, etc. They are a pain in the rear to clean. I found it too laborious and ineffective to spritz and wipe the trays. Dust and other schmutz would gather in the corners. I find that it's easier to just fill my sink with warm, soapy water and soak the items. After soaking for a minute or two, I use a washcloth to wipe off any remaining schmutz.

I’m sorry you didn’t like the Sephora Collection Brightening Eye Cream!! It was me who recommended it. It’s exactly what you said…everyone’s skin is different! The Belif eye cream was a 7/10 eye cream for me, while the Sephora Collection was a 10/10. I just repurchased it for the sale. Maybe the Sephora Collection is better for combo/dry skin types instead of combo/oily ❤️

The Bobbi Brown cleansing oil is my favorite! I can’t find anything “affordable” to compare. It removes my makeup so well and it’s just like water. I can’t even explain it. It’s just so nice.

Try using the tower 28 cream on your hands and body. I have eczema and I use it as like a serum cream before I apply my heavy moisturizer and it’s amazing for dry skin.

I like the R+Co pomade stick, too. I got it in a sub box, and it's too pricey for me to repurchase once it's gone, so I save it for when the hair at my temples is going extra crazy. I also got to try a sample of IGK Rich Kid coconut oil gel from sub boxes, and it's also so expensive, so I haven't been able to try it again, but I really liked it -- the coconut oil gives some hold, but it doesn't dry down & get crunchy like traditional hair gels.

Ahaha that Glow Recipe eye cream bait and switch at the end was hilarious, I was like "girl no that's the one you didn't like!!" but you got there pretty quickly lol. I also did not care for the sample of it that I got, I noticed no improvements AND I started to feel like it might have even been giving me some irritation where it got onto my upper cheek skin (probably from interacting from some other product that I wasn't using in my eye area?)

I had to chuckle when you said all those product's were on the rorating stand , I said No Way, then I realized your not joking, who would have guessed...Then I couldn't believe how many you retired or decluttered when I saw how few you put back on your stand and thought I better get busy taking a secong look at things in my dresser and little boxes. Im thinking about gettin a rotating stand because if the products are out for me to see and easily grab I will be more likely to use them up in a more timely matter and not let them go to waste because I had forgotten them put away. It's good that you're doing a declutter. You don't realize how bad the clutter is for your peace of mind until it's gone. This is why I have an extremely simple routine. I have 1 face wash, 2 serums, and 2 moisturizers (day and night). I don't buy a new one until I'm almost done with the one I'm using. I encourage you to try doing that for 2-3 weeks. Put everything else in boxes for a few weeks and see what your life is like. Just the amount of cleaning and organizing that's cut down is mind-blowing.

I’m like you with fine hair but with dry ends. I use leave in conditioner sprays and I find the Ouai one way too heavy. My fave leave ins are Brio Geo rosarco milk and good old Pantene. I do agree that the Oribe texture spray is awesome.

Truly has a six month after opening expiration and they do not seal their products so that product probably went bad already or was about to even if someone didn't touch it, because it had been opened to be smelled 😬

Please, please, please use a small plastic spatula with creams etc that come in a pot. Every time you put your finger in the cream, you transfer bacteria & dirt from your fingers & nails - even if you think they're clean. If you use the product frequently, you'll end up literally spreading a petri-dish like concoction on your face - which can lead to breakouts & pimples. But this is even more important with eye creams and with cream eyeshadows - which in a worst case scenario, bad bacteria could lead to sight loss. It's also not ideal to pass on beauty products that you've put your fingers in. A small spatula would ensure that the product is still in as good a condition as it can be, for the person you pass it on to.

Coming from a viewer, I don’t think you have to hold on to products you don’t like just to show the item in real life in your videos (speaking to the kosas blush like products). Personally, I would be fine if you just showed the product as a picture in your videos as you spoke about it. For me, I wouldn’t want to hold onto a product that I hate just to show somebody that I hate it you know!?lol That would be weird to do in real life so I don’t think you have to do that in your videos, if you don’t want to of course! Again personally I want products around me that I really love because I feel like negative energy overtime can wear on you. I know for your job it’s different but I think there could be ways you cut the things you don’t like for good and not tug them around like a dead horse. This is all coming from a good place btw 💕
