Great thing about Wooting 60HE is that they have used a standard 60% PCB traymount layout, so nearly all aftermarket custom 60% traymount cases work for this. You can easily customize your Wooting and change case, people been using the KBDFans Tofu for it the most, change keycaps and what not to fit your setup :>

@@tinypickle You get used to it. If you are using it for something else then gaming this is something you need to get used to. For gaming you generaly dont need a layout with dedicatet arrow keys. If you really want them you just map them to wasd or whatever you prefer on the second layer and done. But by the coment i asume you aren´t into exerting any kind of energy. Then just buy the full layout. This keyboard is the best and does it all if you invest some time to taper it to your likeing. The software alows for endless specific setups. You can also save different profiles for different tasks. Pure amazingness. I was like you but now I ascended^^ Writing on my Woting 60 HE

Great video! I'm into the keyboard hobby, and this is by far the most in-depth I've seen anyone go with this board. I wish it was wireless, because then I'd definitely pick one up. Right now I use a QK75 as my main board. I don't believe that keyboards need to have as high of a polling rate as mice, so I'm actually happy to game at 125hz over BT. That said, I would game at 1000hz, but my USB adapter has never worked and getting support from QK has been a nightmare. Either way, I love this board, and it's the reason I stopped buying every board I came across. One really nice thing about the Wooting is it uses a "stock" 60% tray mount layout. So you can really easily swap it into other cases. If you ever wanted to go full aluminum, or wood even, you could do that!

Analogy time: I´m riding my roadbike 5 days a week, sometimes more. Just lubed the chain and pumped the tire to the right psi. Not to harsh since i ride over gravel sometimes not to low since I ride on concret as well. Now my Bike feels amazing to ride and I have a Blast every day. That´s How the Wooting HE60 feels. With a little bit of investment it returns big time. I have it since launch and it is amazing. Small formfactor is great. Remaping and Layering of addative keys aka Arrow keys to WASD on second layer etc is amazing when you get used to it. Has a bit of a learning curve but afterwards it feels holy.

Replace those rubberized grips with lizard grips, those things death grip to the desk. I had them under my light weight keyboard and it solved my problems with movement.

Love the review! You should also check out Drunkdeer A75. This is making a lot of noise in the Japan scene but for people like me who likes TKL or 75% layout, this is the best there is right now. They also have their recent update of their own rapid trigger. Hope you also do a review for this. :)

I always struggle with admitting that a keyboard can make an actual difference on your performance when it comes to fps games.

It does. But it depends on what you compare. And it´s not a gigantic change. If the layout dosnt fit or it is uncompftable it dosn´t mater. I played most my life with a really cheap flat keyboard for 9.99€ and it worked. Is the Wooting better? Yes it is. is it 200€ better? Maybe. Do you need it if you aren´t playing for the absolute peek performance you can bring. Certainly not. I love it tho. And If you have the spare change and time to unlern the timing´s of counterstraving or whatever you do it is something else. Its like 800 dpi vs 3200 dpi. Does it change something? Yes. Do you need it to be good? No

Trust me it does. At least in tactical shooters. I've had moments in-game where I after a kill actually can say to myself this kill wouldn't have been possible to do with a regular keyboard.

It won’t turn a noob into a pro but if you’re at a decent level you’ll notice the difference literally striaght away. It’s weirdly too responsive until u get used to it or customise your keys

It is. Everything else feels sluggish now when you taper it to be super fast it is. Maybe the TKL version comes out soon and that one will be a bomb if it is like the 60HE.

i think it is worth mentioning that razer huntsman mini analog has a rapid trigger implementarion on its newest firmware. it is in no aspect better than wooting, and the rt is less responsive, but half-price w/big brand availability is something worth considering. idk if it has all the functionality of wooting, probably not, and u have to use synapse to configure it (ew), but it does have analog and rapid trigger edit: the steelseries apex boards have rapid trigger now too

Toggle key is really good for mount and blade bannerlord singleplayer. Mount and blade banner lord is basically unplayable on a 60% keyboard cause you need the function keys to control your army. By toggling your fn key, it let's you use the mouse and the function keys at the same time. It's still a worse experience compared to a full keyboard, but it is actually playable on the wooting where it really isn't on any other 60% without the ability to toggle the fb key.

hi liam! how did u get the racing profile to work? when im in forza horizon5 and enable the racing profile with wasd as the rt lt and joystick left and right, when i press the keys it doesnt work in game at all, do u have to manually change the input mode from keyboard n mouse to controller?

Have you checked out the DrunkDeer A75? Seems like a more budget friendly wooting. I have the razer huntsman mini analog which got an update for "rapid trigger" aren't they basically the same or similar feature?

The huntsman rapid trigger doesnt have the .15mm deactivation. It isn't as precise as the Wooting. Also the Wooting software is better.

FYI brother you didn't hit a single superglide in that set of clips. You'll see your FOV change when you hit one. Those were just slides off of a mantle

Do you think it's worth getting if I already have a Razer Huntsman TKL Tournament Edition? For some reason gaming has been kinda stale for me since I've been using the same setup for so long. Keyboard since release, and mouse (Pulsar x2) also since release. I just got the Viper v2 Pro and I'm very happy with my purchase.

@@AimAdapt Valorant, and this might be off topic since I saw your video with the Lamzu 4k, but is it also worth getting the 4k dongle for my Viper v2? Is there a noticable feeling from 1k polling to 4k?

@@paolo1132 Yes I recommend it. This keyboard is perfect for Valorant. I specifically talk about it in this video. Having a lift off of .15mm to reset the switch while using rapid trigger is the fastest on the market. You can get more responsive and accurate aim with your stop movements.

Some random things I think you can try and avoid in your reviews is saying basically the same thing 3 different ways when it's hard to explain. If someone does not understand the first way of explaining it they probably simply does not understand the concept on that level when talking high detail OCD level nitpicking (so maybe just let them buy a shitty keyboard because their favorite pro player is currently using because of sponsor reasons). I'm not saying to make your videos simpler I like the high details and going though everything that might bother some people or such and small things that you like etc. I'm just saying that it's probably wasted energy trying to explain it for people that don't really care to listen and learn. Focus on the diehards that make up the recurring viewers I think that is what you are doing right that stands out out of all tech reviewers. Either way keep up the reviews you are doing a great job! i love your videos but you did not hit a single super glide. those are just mantle slides which is a just a general fundamental for movement in apex. keep practicing tho 👍

@@AimAdapt Superglides look very specific, they zoom you off the edge you're mantling, it's fairly easy to spot when you hit one. But you got the logic right, and this functionality definitely can work for hitting that timing very easily!

You can access the f row using the FN key and the number row. Its a gaming keyboard because it maximizes your mouse movement space and has features that normal keyboards don't. Its catered more towards fps games which usually dont require anything more than a 60% keyboard

@@Billy_The_Frog yeah but what's the reason they didn't add actual F keys? Mouse swiping area doesn't get affected whether F keys are present or not. What if you also play other games that require the F keys? Get used to the FN + number keys, or switch to a completely different keyboard just so you can play without losing your sanity. The numpad and arrow keys I can understand. But completely removing even the F keys and still call it gaming keyboard is just a mystery to me. Aesthetic over function, I guess.

@@raphaeldeguzman7417 Yeah true, aesthetic is part of it but one its features is being able to swap cases between other tray-mount 60% cases which is a universal format/size. If they added the f row then it would no longer fit those cases. Removing the f row also makes it a bit more portable, which i assume is what they were going for when they added the yellow strap. Usually only 75% or bigger keyboards have the f row. As AimAdapt mentioned, you can consider the full-size version or wait for a 75% version. I own a 75% layout keyboard myself but tbh, i have never touched the f row because i have only been playing fps games the past few years.

I don't really like your comment on superglides in Apex. Putting the inputs on the dynamic keystroke is basically setting up a macro. And macros are viewed as blatant cheating in the community (even tho it isn't "officially", sadly). Having the Wooting with the customizable actuation point in itself is already an incomparable advantage over everything else, so just supergliding with C/V/B + Space is already easy enough but you still have to worry about some timing, other than with a macro. Macros remove a way too big extent of the learning curve, to the point that there is barely anything that you have to learn and practice in first place. So please don't abuse the dynamic keystroke to that point, it's very foolish
