Please, please ladies, if you in such a situation like the one she landed in the hospital, it is time to let someone know you are in danger. There are social workers who can put you in safe waters. Even if your husband is trying to stand on the way so that you dont spill the beans, request to go to the bathroom or a therapy room. That way they can talk to you freely without anybody on your face. Most nurses are trained to detect abuse, and they will provide a translator while in the hospital.

I am thinking if I find myself in trouble a country which has no Kenyan Embassy, then what I would do is run to another embassy that's part of the commonwealth - where people are likely to speak English, esp. a country thats nearest to East Africa. A Sub-Saharan country. Someone might just listen to you and call the Kenyan Embassy nearest to you to deal with your case.
