I am so glad you posted this, I just had the same experience! I ordered a 40-item Women's Winter Wardeobe Rescue box in my size and thredup sent 2 boxes of unwearable, old, shrunken, cheap, dirty, thread bare garbage. There was nothing worth "rescuing" in the boxes! And my wardrobe certainly didn't get a "refresh."I have been fighting with thredup customer service for a full week and my ticket was finally escalated after days of back and forth via email. I've asked for my money back or store credit. I feel like I got scammed. I'm super frustrated! And I'm not optimistic that I'm going to get a resolution. Ugh.

A quick update: After a week of emails with customer service, Thredup offered me a coupon for 30% off my next order as a gesture of goodwill, and claimed the items I received are representative of rescue boxes. Are you kidding me? A coupon? I'll never order anything from them again! It seems others are experiencing the same problem. They are selling us all of their "rejects", claiming they are "wearable" and don't care whether they lose customers or not. Sad.

Ugh I'm so sorry you didn't have a good experience with them recently either. It's a shame really - they could make so much more $$ if they put quality stuff in their boxes. Instead they're just gonna sit there because the people who used to consistently buy them aren't falling for it anymore. A 30% coupon is not going to get you back as a customer.

I ordered a Lululemon hoodie from them a couple weeks ago that had made it into their Unbranded section. They sent me the completely wrong item & expected me to just live with it and not get a refund. Ummm no, you're gonna give me my money back or I'll dispute with my card. They eventually conceded thankfully and said they "lost" the item I purchased - More like they probably realized their mistake after I purchased it and tried to pull a bait and switch thinking I wouldn't notice 😡

I just got a fun box with all credits and it was horrendous. But I see friends getting pretty great stuff in theirs so part of me thinks when you don’t spend a dime out of pocket, they purposely sent you the worst boxes possible. This was rough but I think you will make some solid Plato’s cash 😂

ThredUp should be so ashamed of themselves. I got the textile box yesterday and other than two children’s skirts and 3 scarves everything was another country’s fashion, which maybe could have been ok if it wasn’t for how awful the mildew smell was. I double bagged everything and put it in the trash. There is just no getting rid of mildew. I bought a Coach box before that and again, mildew!!! I think my ThredUp addiction has finally been cured.

I wouldn't buy from their mystery boxes anymore. They are keeping the good stuff I think to get the profit after things expire OR only putting what they absolutely wont sell int he boxes now. Gosh, they used to be so good. The good old days are gone with them.
