Chile. I’ve been wanting to relax my hair for months now. I’m obsessed with Hairlicious Inc. KZbin videos. Her relaxer routine is top tier. I wanted to cry washing my hair the other day. I stopped doing the Aztec clay mask after doing half of my head. Rinsed it out, did a lazy shampoo, no conditioner, blew my hair out and did two braids. I’m SOOOO over my natural hair😭. I also hadn’t washed in 2 months to avoid doing it. Ima relax it soon lol

I’m getting ready to relax my hair next month so I’m watching a bunch of KZbin videos of people relaxing there’s so I can do it right! So far I’ve learned to get 2 boxes, section hair in 8-10 sections, use hair clips to hold the hair up after apply the relaxer, use a comb to smooth the hair and wear a t-shirt during the process. I like how your hair came out! Especially after straightening it. My natural hair doesn’t straighten properly, it will puff out immediately.

Mine turned out the opposite. I specifically bought a texturizer instead of a relaxer and even diluted it so that my natural hair would just be a little looser and more manageable so i dont have to stretch it and that thing relaxed the hell out of my hair! I had it in for 11 minutes from application to washout and my hair was straight with some waves. I dont hate it though. Taking care of my hair nowadays feels more like self care rather than a battle! 😂

@@AliviaMae Pretty lady. your hair too👸🏾😍 Be GENTLE when combining your hair. The relaxer IS there. You were going to town briskly brushing and manipulating through freshly processed hair😅 I went back to a perm during the pandemic. I treat my relaxed hair the SAME as when it was natural. Very minimal heat between salon visits. I'm very GENTLE when combing my hair and use a wide tooth comb NOT those evil "detangler" brushes that snap/pull hair out. I make sure to stay on top of perm retouches and keep split ends away. It's good to maintain a regular moisture routine. Once it's stale from working out, it's tucked away in a bun or done in a simple style. I don't continue to try to blow dry or flat iron (cook) it into a "style". Your hair is lovely and healthy. It's a good length to look cute tucked away once it's not so salon "fresh"😊

No I definitely used oil on my hair when I relaxer it! Baby it got my hair flawless!!! I'm never going back to doing my relaxer with using oil! I used olive oil u can get from your grocery store ! Extra Virgin! I also used Dark & lovely relaxer! I love it!!! My hair has NEVER looked this healthy!!!

I know you wanted it bone straight but I think this actually worked out to your advantage your hair is really pretty and if you decide to go back to a textured or curl I think you could more easily or you keep wearing it straight and at some point if you want it bone straight you can just put another chemical in it after a few months or a few weeks but I think yours came out pretty good actually

It's supposed to be set the timer when you've finished applaying all the relaxer in all your hair, not when you start applaying it, this is why the results are so scarce, even I think at last 20 or 25 minutes are needed for good results

I’m from Louisiana and one thing that was not taken into consideration when going natural was the humidity. My hair reverts before I’m halfway done flat ironing it. I’ve tried i feel a million different products and nothing has worked. I hate dealing with my natural hair. I love my curls but I don’t even wear them out. So I’ve been thinking about a Tex lax. I just want to be able to wear it straight lol

First time seeing your channel. Seemingly, I relaxed my hair a week after you did. It had been over 12 years (maybe about 15). Like you, I dreaded washing my hair at a decent frequency because it was a painful sacrifice just to put my hair up under a hat or something. I don't wear wigs, so, I would just have my hair in the same style. I desperately wanted to do other styles with my hair but it was either too much or impossible. I self-relaxed for the first time. It was a moment of mixed feelings. I left it on a tad longer that the instructions said but it was still a little underprocessed, which I was okay with. I didn't want it bone straight but more processed than it turned out to be. I'll straighten that out (no pun intended) next time. You seemed disappointed with your result but I think you'll be fine. It's better for it to be underprocessed than overprocessed.

I haven’t watched the correction video but hey you did an excellent job!!! Not what you wanted but watching you handle your hair says your naturally good with your hair. As you know by now - product and time part of the reason for the outcome. You were so bubbly and excited and even though disappointed you still accepted the softness, different textures (we all have that can make different parts look different. I think it was absolutely gorgeous, flowing, full, bouncy, beautiful. ❤

Just a tip, your contacts look more real without the fake lashes. I'd say keep one or the other, but they both detract from the other when together. The eye sees the fake lash and it's more attuned to find other things that don't belong.

Love, you forgot to use a comb while smoothing it out! For straight hair you gotta use a comb otherwise your relaxer-defying coils are gonna be like "naah siz." Still cute though

Hey girl! I've been natural for 4 years and want to just leave on to not get my hair bone straight but I workout and want to wear my bra length hair for winter? I don't want the poof! How long should I do for just a little straighter and manageable hair?
@AliviaMae
@AliviaMae Жыл бұрын
I'm no expert but i'm sure it depends on your hair texture & density. They have directions in the box, but depending on your hair, you may want to modify them! Like I should've left mine on a little longer than what they had mentioned in the directions lol

Needed more relaxer, it was too little thin application on each section, the hair should be fully engulfed in relaxer. Also don't touch the scalp until the last 5 minutes instead of applying after each section.

NGL 5:24 that hair style is CUTE ASF (with the contrast of that makeup look and a fly / sexish fit) !! This is coming from a straight guy who doesn't even have strong preference towards blk wmn. Y'all will think I'm crazy for seeing the vision in that hairstyle but it's hot asf and BOLD. I would wish to see a lot of baddies normalizing that hairstyle but I guess it would never happen.
