I am dumbfounded how Asspyre managed to screw up such a classic game, yet they put more effort in the Tomb Raider Remastered collection? Guess they wanted to shove this game out the door as soon as possible to see if people were dumb enough to buy it. to me the worst part for the official classic collection is it costs more then buying the original versions. 10usd each vs 35... If it had more content then I would understand but its just the same, but worse. Yeah theres the xbox content but besides a "oh thats neat" it adds almost nothing, and the original has a mod to restore it anyways, which was even used in the trailer for the classic collection. They should have add cut content from the original like the alternate loadouts each class had as an extra mode or beta naboo for bf1. Or make a few sequal trilogy maps like a downgraded version of EA's maps. Im not a developer but they should at least have added something to fill the 15usd gap. Not enough to change the game completely for preservation sake but just give a few extra small things. Maybe even a galactic conquest editor or more game modes. Something that changes the game while keeping the core intact. Everything from the original is the same, but theres more added to it.

You forgot the real twist of the knife. If you install BFX, you can also get the BF1 conversion mod. BF 1 and BF 2 IA all for 10 bucks 😅

These are mods yes but the classic collection is just a port of the console version no crazy changes to the game yes multiplayer is the biggest issue with it right now but i dont know what anyone expected out of this i bought it yes and im enjoying it cause im not a huge multiplayer person i like playing with bots

I want to add. My biggest problems with the classic collection are. The BF1 loading screen has a weird pitch and the cutscenes they use are updated now I can longer see decrepit puppit yoda from phantom menace and in BF2 they removed cutscenes? But I mean.... it doesn't make unplayable

Battlefront remaster mod has issues itself if you play on anything higher than 1080p. For example, Kashyyk, most of the screen is blue from the water. Also, the UI and HUD are all fucked up... but that is more of an issue with the original game that the remaster wasn't able to fix.

I don't wanna look like i have everything figured out, but i swear I had no problems running those mods for years, maybe it is because of the version, the 2.2 has some issues and weird compatibility with the legacy mod. I found the 1.6 and had no issue with that, but it depends on a lot of things

@@daviddopazo3745I really only have the issues on 1440p or 4k. Perfect on 1080p... but anything above that breaks the UI/HUD for me. If I wasn't playing on a 42" monitor than 1080p would suffice, especially for how much better the remaster graphics look compared to classic collection or base game.

that is a graphical glitch with water rendering above 1080p, the shader patch mod by sleepkiller fixes that issue and has a fully customisable shader editor inbuilt with it that lets u make the game look really good, one of the biggest graphical improvements it lets u do is add ambient occlusion which the base game doesnt have

If you wasted your money getting the classic collection on PC and can't get a refund don't worry the modders are fixing the game and are trying to get their mods to work on the classic collection. In a couple of weeks they will have all the bugs fixed. I just feel sorry for the console gamers that are stuck with a broken game. I just wished the game didn't release broken it killed all the hype my friends had for playing the game I was going to buy it again on PS5.

Oh dawg, if you’ve ever been limited regarding a game return, that just means ur still going through the developer or store you got it from digitally. You should always just call your bank. Ever since games went primarily live service, I’ve only returned a handful of games, but every one of them was through my bank with 0 hassle and done very quickly. Even way beyond the company’s ‘return deadline’.

I’ve played those, but the ground to space was just a cutscene - you can go from ground to space in real time with this mod which is my personal preference/favorite way to do it

he just went into the multiplayer tab, the original releases on steam have fully functioning multiplayer, the bf2 remaster mod by harrisonfog prides itself on its multiplayer compatibility, meaning it doesnt change any gameplay so u can play multiplayer with it just fine, even on unmodded servers

@@lisek0205 steam and GOG version yes, disk version will not allow u to connect to the same servers, youd need to use something like GameRanger or SWBFSpy which have their own servers, id imagine those would be quite dead though since official servers exist

the main menu on the base game is 800x600 and stretches to fit, a mod called the battlefront 2 remaster by GT Anakin overhauls the menu to support 1080p along with many other improvements like AI controlled heroes, which the classic collection does not have despite that being a feature on certain versions of the original game battlefront 2 also does not run at 30fps, its locked at 80fps, 30fps only happens when hosting a dedicated server, which still happens on the classic collection
