I just can do a list of everything that is cool in this: 1: Hollow knight's music are already bangers on their own so mixing them with such skill can only make another banger. 2: The animations are amazing, I love the differents styles which all fits the idea : "turning Hollow knight into an anime" (special mention to the one who included Quirell's teleportation skill). 3: The lyrics. Just the lyrics. They're not only amazingly written (in japanese and english), they also talk about actual lore from the game and one of my favourites characters : Pale King. 4: The voice give absolute chills. 5: The simple idea of making an anime opening for Hollow Knight. This video makes me want to watch an Hollow Knight anime for real, it makes me think of a last season opening that go deep into lore and sad parts but also act as a reminder of the past events. To conclude, I would put this as my phone ring if it wasn't forcing me to listen it all when people call me.

Ah, this is still pretty underrated. Really loved how you messed with the grimm troupe motif. There's not a lot of renditions of that soundtrack out there that struck me as appropriate or bringing justice to the given material. You also developed each individual song really well by amplifying, transforming, and expanding-upon the different rhythms, dynamics, and emotions, and adding some choice personal touches as well. A year later, listening to this, and I realize you put a lot of effort into this one. Really enjoyed the sequence and structure of this composition. Sublime!!

I’ve already commented on this, but I’ve listen to this so much I need to do it again. This is song is absolutely amazing and paired with the stunning visuals it’s gives me chills every time I watch and listen. This song has so much lore in it. It feels like such a good way to end the first Hollow Knights legacy and start the (hopefully soon) releasing silksong.

I love how its unclear which knight the lyrics are talking about, just like how when you play the game, its unclear who the Hollow Knight is until the end. Its such a small detail but it really makes the difference, it could even be referring to them both.

With the lyric I naturally leaned more towards the Hollow Knight since they had a more interesting story but I went back to knight for the verses to tie back in a lot of the story and game elements ^-^ Which is why the lyric contains a lot of contradictions with having no thoughts but then having thoughts of being hollow.
