You are really good at getting the grade you expect. I'd rather be harsh on my grading as well. That way we're not as disappointed and it helps cushion any disappointment.

They rarely even give 9.9.. and I've definitely submitted a few that were 9.9 candidates, in my opinion

I bought all of those X-men and Daredevils when they came out as a ~14 yr old. Great to see them! Question: why do you think that only one person is grading each book when CGC claimed to have 3 people per book? Also, is it not possible that different teams grade different books in the same submission?

I believe their current claim is that AT LEAST 2 people grade each book but who knows what is going on in that place given the recent news. They could easily address this (possible) misconception but seem to prefer to keep every practice as obscure as possible from their customers.

I have to much coffee mini comics 1 2 3 4 the hand made ones there pitted and just generally in rough shape this would be a test to you skill never seen you do mini comics

How do you pick the books when they're raw?

I look for books that have pressable defects and avoid books that have lots of color breaks, like creases, bad tics, tears, etc

Have you done any pre-screens recently with CGC? The last 2 weeks I’ve been blasted with rejects and I normally have a 75%+ success rate. I also noticed a few others say this as well on the CGC boards. Just wondering if you’ve experienced this, or if anyone here has.

I had 3 prescreens come back last month with the usual 75-80% success. I have a couple in QC today, so I'll comment here once I know the results
