So in this simulation they did have an answer for the Braves in the regular season. They just couldn't win in the playoffs which is completely different from their actual history in which they are 7-1 in their playoff series (1-1 against the Braves).

@@catman-du8927 Yeah, but most of the times they got bounced out of the playoffs, it was those pesky Braves. Even in real life, the Marlins have always struggled against the Braves. They have only posted 6 winning season series against the Braves (out of 29), and the Braves just recently swept the Marlins in the 2020 playoffs. The 1997 season was an anomaly in which that was the only season they were able to beat the Braves when it matters. (and go on to become champions) In short, when it comes to the Braves rivalry, nothing changes in this simulation. The Braves still have the Marlins number, even if the Marlins won 19 games more than they did and had a better lineup, better bullpen, and equally as competant rotation. I call it devil magic and I also call it destiny.

It's literally half of the total playoff matchups the Marlins & Braves have ever had. 2020 is just as much of an anomaly as it was the only time the Braves beat the Marlins when it mattered. The Braves may have won 16 NL East titles since 1993 (Marlins first year) but the Marlins have won the same number of World Series in that time span. That just tells me the Braves suck once they get to the playoffs
