The low burst is awkward in parties but its damage uptime is really nice for a dpm class imo. Compare it to shadower that loses a lot of dmg uptime in endgame bosses, but Lynn is able to get half its damage just from passive bird/wolf procs. They need to at least buff the origin though, right now it looks pathetic

i havent played bishop since the explorer revamp so i dont have an accurate comparison. in terms of solo damage only i wouldn't be surprised if lynn's was higher with a cont4

bishop is probably stronger than lynn. From what ive heard if you can hit somewhere close to 50k stat your solo damage is probably top 5-10. Its stronger than f/p and i/l in solo dps and has way more survivability meaning it can have better uptime. Similar to how lynn has multiple skills that make it really hard to kill her, the combination of angel ray, fountain, heal, shell, door, eform and passive healing from bene all come together to make it near impossible to kill bishop unless your tanking multiple 1 shots back to back. Or just get rolled by something like tiger fma (does 100% hp damage multiple times and will kill you through door and eform)

It's a DPM class. It needs Cont more than RoR like most DPM classes. And your burst lasts as long as your enhanced Bird 5th job skill is going for, as that skill does quite a lot of damage over the duration.

If her burst is so trash, shouldn't she be using cont4 instead? Also I heard something about stacking the animals fd, idk how long it takes but could that be the reason that your (possibly too early) burst doesn't live up to its full potential?

Yeah it's a Cont4 class like most DPM classes. You're not wanting to be using ROR4 on Lynn at all unless you're in a party for just some added burst during everyone elses burst timers. But as a ring swap from Cont4 to RoR4 and then back to Cont4. Also as long as the bird is enhanced with the 5th job skill you're still bursting (that is basically a longer burst skill), so that also matters.

The fd stacking is super fast. It's one stack per animal skill you use up to 3. You can literally just stack everything in a few seconds then burst.

yup you're right about both cont4 and the animal fd. i don't have a cont ring so thats why im using ror, and for the animal fd it stacks up from 0 to full in 1-2 seconds so thats not an issue as well. but also Lynn is bugged rn and is missing 5th job maple goddess (lynns in other servers have it)
