Hey everyone, I've realized there's a section of my video missing. It discussed using the Go with a second screen with the tdp cranked up. Sorry about the confusion.

I’ve had it for a week and had zero problems. I love it. The performance is mind blowing. I have no idea what these guys are talking about with all these “I returned the Lenovo legion go” videos. I think it’s because it’s not different enough from what they already own. The return period is approaching, their KZbin videos are made and they want their $700 back. The LLG is hands down better than steam deck in every way. The steam deck is just simpler to use and most consumers want a console like experience.

I appreciate the feedback. If I liked the controller's better it'd been a different story for me.

@@pauliwall1986 the controllers are dope. Hall effect sticks, gyroscopes, RGB, ergonomic. The triggers feel way better than I had expected. Not a big fan of the fps mode tho. I need to tweak the sensitivity on that when I get time.

@sirownzalotgaming3025 I didn't like fps mode. The controllers dug into my hands during handheld play. Other than that I really think it's a solid device.

Yeah if your only reason to spring for the Legion Go is the extra ~50% higher performance vs Steam Deck, it likely won't be transformative for many titles. I do think the Legion Go has a nice list of real world advantages over the Steam Deck though: -MUCH larger display (nearly 9" Go vs 7" Deck, and I personally find 7" just too small for a lot of games, even 9" is the "bare minimum" size imo) Way higher resolution as well, giving that ultra sharp "retina" look even if you're upscaling from 800p/1200p due to the pixels being too small to see. Sticking with 1280x800 on the Deck OLED was my biggest disappointment, as it just looks so jagged and grainy amongst all the ultra crisp screens we otherwise have today. I understand the perf benefit from 1280x800 res, but I'd much rather integer scale up to a higher resolution than limit the display to so few pixels as they are physically visible. This is particularly important for any kind of web browsing on the screen, as the high res keeps everything pin sharp even at small text sizes. -Detachable controllers! Having the option to pull the controllers off and not have to hold the whole console+screen is a major deal for me, as it allows you to play with your arms more spaced out and relaxed like the Nintendo Switch. 90% of my handheld Switch use is with the screen/tablet up on a tablet mount in bed, laying on my back with a joycon in each hand at my side or under the sheets. I honestly try to avoid holding the console attached unless I have no choice (ie playing out of the house, very rare for me). -Two USB4 ports. The Go can be connected to a desktop dock and output up to 4K120Hz monitors, as well as accept USB accessories, Ethernet, audio output, etc all with just 1 USB-C plug. And leave another USB-C open for even more accessories or for charging. I love the idea that this compact touchscreen tablet can be used as a full blown portable Windows PC when it's not being used for gaming, whereas the Steam Deck is more or less limited to just gaming (unless you want to futz around with a barebones Linux desktop) and collects dust with no further purpose when not used for gaming. The Legion Go can serve as a very capable desktop PC (8 core Zen 4, 5.1GHz boost - on par with Ryzen 7800X) for non-gaming usage, and then just yank it from a dock to use as a touchscreen Windows tablet, or of course jump into a game handheld. It's one device that can fill at least 3 roles (gaming handheld, tablet, desktop) so it can be used a lot farther than Steam Deck. I love the insane versatility the Legion Go brings to the table, having a full blown Windows PC in a compact tablet formfactor has been a dream device of mine for over a decade. The Steam Deck felt like a tease of that, but the permanent controllers, small & low res display (rough text), and lack of true Windows OS support left it short of being able to fill that role of a truly portable PC. I think that's the best way to distinct between the two devices - if you want a pure handheld gaming device that acts like a game console, and have no desire to ask of anything further from it, Steam Deck is a great option. If you want a full fat PC that you can hold in your hands as a tablet, dock as an office/productivity desktop, or play handheld games on - the Lenovo Legion Go is a far better and more versatile fit. :)

Honestly if you have the regular steamdeck there is no need for the oled same performance just better screen as for the legion go it has a bigger screen better performance plays can play all windows games in theory but the software is bad and you wont get as good battery life as the steam deck overall both devices are good at what they do

@@cyrax3840 what are you ranting about? The Legion Space was just updated. I use the legion go for all my gaming needs now. You don’t have to use Space if you dont want to, and can operate using Steam Launcher or other third party launcher. You can use AMD software for more controls. Im not even sure what youre talking about with regard to the software as I have not experienced any issues at all with the recent updates.

This review does not make any sense. If you have a laptop that plays games or a gaming device why get the steam deck in the first place or why is the steam deck a more worthy buy than the legion go? The reason for the legion go or steam deck is portability in the same class. The legion go wins due to the excellent screen!!!

The OP doesn't make sense, he compares the GO vs PC, laptops and consoles. Its a Handheld PC, its direct competition is the Steam Deck, ROG Ally, ayaneo KUN and rest of PC based handhelds. The question is, is it FASTER than steam deck? YES it is. Do you want bigger screen? YES, you go buy Legion GO NO? You go and buy ROG Ally [same Z1 Extreme SOC] The steam deck is not part of this equation, yes, OLED, yes screen look better [I been using OLED TVs as my PC monitor since 2016, i have no non-oled TVs in the apartments at all] But OLED is just the display, it wont make games run faster, if they slow they slow, if you forced to use LOW settings to get 30fps, in the legion you probably can get MEDIUM settings and 40fps The funny thing about portability, SD is not a tiny device, its not smaller then Legion go. Steam Deck is Bagable device, its not pocketable, you need a backpack or some sort of carrying case, same goes for Legion Go. ROG Ally is the only one that actually smaller, yet its still too big to be carried in a pocket, [maybe during winter when you have bigger pockets 🤷🏼♂] Steam Deck OLED is only valid for people that have Legion GO or ROG ally and want a second system to enjoy better screen in weaker titles. or people that outright dont care about modern games and play indie games, old games and emulators [not all of them, like PS3, Switch, Wiiu, X360 will be much better on the Legion GO/ ROG Ally]

Very bad video. Comparing apples and oranges. Mixing PC and consoles with handheld devices. Comparing a much weaker device that just performed the ultimate money-grabbing stunt upgrading just the screen without any hardware improvements and saying that the chaotic difference on many games like Hogwarts where the difference is about 30 fps outdoors and 60 fps in Cyberpunk, isn't enough. Please, you can talk as much as you like about software being terrible on the Go but you are not allowed to talk about hardware being a small difference. If you compared the Ally, then sure but is insulting saying that the difference between the Deck and the Go is small.

@mtskz Жыл бұрын
@NoBodysGamer Sure Im with you on that. But that would make more sense than comparing a handheld with current gen consoles. There are a few problems that Windows cant solve. Like that the controls are practically not working at all and not the gyros either.There is also practically no control over the the leds. The handheld companion guys did fix almost all controls and added ambilight (!) to the device but in order to get it officially we will be needing legion space.
