I Returned to my Favourite Country 🇵🇭

I began the journey from hell from my home town in England to one of the greatest countries in the world, the Philippines! However in order to get there I had to embark on a 44 hour journey with 3 flights, many busses and zero sleep, it was a killer journey. Despite that brutal travel I am sure it will be worth it as i return to this paradise country for my 3rd time, welcome to the Philippines 🇵🇭

I’ve literally just got back to the uk last week after spending a month in the Philippines with 2 weeks in Palawan. This video has made my day! Would highly recommend Duli beach resort if you can get up there - it’s a bit pricey but should be double the price for what it is.

Welcome to the Philippines from a fellow plymothian. Made that same trip many times as my wife is also fron palawan. Just for info you are in puerto princesa, palawan is the whole island! Try and visit baywalk in the early evening to enjoy some proper street food and live music. Unfortunately you didn't get anywhere near to the centre of puerto! 😂 places to visit if you can: underground river, el nido, Honda bay and San Vicente. Was there for last Christmas and miss it, nice to see some familiar places. Enjoy yourselves. 👍 ❤

Oh ya, get up to El Nido right away. Get a spot on the beach near the edge of town. Set yourself up for Island hopping. There are a few different tour options. Then and rent a scooter to explore. You will love it!

Heyo Ben! Brit-Fil expat here. moved to the PH last year. Palawan is beautiful - deffo would recommend Romblon, Siargao, Bohol, Cebu, and Boracay but you've porbably been there already. One place many non-Filipinos dont know about is Batanes, the northernmost isles of the Philippines - and its one of those transformative places. Its the NZ of Asia, spectacular scenery. If you're in Metro Manila, would recommend staying around the BGC area - its the new ultra modern centre of Metro Manila and has loads to do. Looking forward to see your journey here!👍

You should have asked the resort staff for directions. They don't understand center. If you had asked how to go to town or "bayan" they would have understood. Normally in the Philippines when you say you're going to the center, that means health center.

Ben, there's a flourishing Vietnamese community in Puerto Princesa since it was a "processing zone" back in the late 70's to the 80's for those fleeing Vietnam at that time. They were called "boat people" as there so many families crammed in an oblong-shaped boat crossing South China from Saigon to any Southeast Asian country. Some of them went to the US, Canada & Australia and some stay in the Philippines where they married the locals of Puerto Princesa. Be surprised that you'll find Pho in the city. It's almost the same as those I tried in Hanoi.

I travelled around the Pillipines with my family and our Filipino friend in '2000. It is in the less urban areas just incredibly beautiful with lovely people, and a very relaxed atmosphere. It's great to see Ben and Kats travelling experiences and really makes me want to go back there!

Back in the 90's whilst serving in the Army spent a week R and R in Plymouth had the best week of my life (ok my trips to Pattaya slightly win) spent my nights in a club called Blondes of which there were many of them . shame to see Plymouth go so downhill

As a Filipino bro, Jeepney rule. The best and safest seats are at the very end at the back. Because of those Jeepney lose their brakes or someone tried to rob you while sitting in the jeep. You can easily jump out 😂. Plus you don’t want to be that guy handing the ride fair to the driver all the time😂. Just advise from experience 😅
