മേട്ടുപ്പാളയം - കൂനൂർ വഴി ഊട്ടിയിലേക്കുള്ള ടോയ് ട്രെയിൻ യാത്രയെ കുറിച്ചറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കേണ്ട ചില പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ട കാര്യങ്ങൾ
1) മേട്ടുപ്പാളയത്തു നിന്ന് തുടങ്ങുന്ന 5 മണിക്കൂറോളമുള്ള ടോയ് ട്രെയിൻ യാത്ര ചെയ്യാനാണ് ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നതെങ്കിൽ ടിക്കറ്റുകൾ മുൻകൂട്ടി ബുക്ക് ചെയ്തിട്ട് വന്നാൽ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടില്ലാതെ യാത്ര ചെയ്യാം. IRCTC വെബ്സൈറ്റ്/ആപ്പ് മുഖേന ടിക്കറ്റ് എടുക്കാം. 2nd Class ടിക്കറ്റിന് ₹295 ഉം First Class നു ₹600 ഉം ആണ് ടിക്കറ്റ് ചാർജ്.

കൂനൂർ സ്റ്റേഷനിൽ 15 മിനുട്ട് ട്രെയിൻ നിർത്തുമെങ്കിലും മറ്റു സ്റ്റേഷനുകളിൽ 1 മിനുട്ട് വീതം മാത്രമേ നിർത്തിയിടുന്നുള്ളു.

Most Important Things to Know About Toy Train Travel from Mettupalayam - Coonoor to Ooty
1) If you want to travel by toy train which takes about 5 hours starting from Mettupalayam, you can travel without difficulty if you book the tickets in advance. Tickets can be purchased through IRCTC website/app. Ticket Charge for 2nd Class ₹295 &First class ₹600.
2) If you want to travel from Coonoor to Ooty by diesel engine toy train, there are more trains in this sector, you can get tickets quickly without two to three months of advance booking and waiting, and you can get the toy train experience in about 1 hour.Ticket charge for 2nd class ₹150 &first class ₹350.
3) There is a general compartment in the train, there is a queue at the railway station from 3 am to get its ticket, on holidays it is difficult to get such tickets, if it is mid-day it is easy.
4) First class coach also gets the most views
5) If you can sit on the left side of the train while going to Mettupalayam-Coonoor-Ooty and on the right side when coming back, the best views await you.
6) It is said that the most beautiful journey is from Mettupalayam to Coonoor, but in my experience Coonoor to Ooty is also enjoyable.
8) On the Coonoor - Ooty journey, there is no opportunity to get down and take photos when the train stops at the stations.
At Coonoor station the train stops for 15 minutes but at other stations it stops only for 1 minute.
9) There is no facility to walk from one compartment to another compartment like in normal train.we couldn't move from our seat..
